Entire Studio Center Of Istanbul

un accueil très chaleureux de la part de Gökham avec plein de bons conseils pour visiter Istanbul. Studio très bien placé à côté de la place Taksim permettant d'accéder à tous les transports pour les visites. Le logement est sommaire, les sanitaires sont basiques mais fonctionnels, le matelas est excellent mais il ne faut pas vouloir beaucoup cuisiner. Nous qui passions nos journées à l'extérieur, nous avons beaucoup apprécié de retrouver le calme du quartier pour la nuit. Nous y retournerons avec beaucoup de plaisir.

the studio is good, It's cental 5-minute walk from Taksim Square There is everything you need to have Yes it's not a Hilton hotel, but it is fun you are between the ordinary Turkish population. Gokhan is a sweet and helpful man ( Host ), if you ask something he always answers and give you tips I will certainly be going back.

De ligging is prima, vlakbij Taksim, het centrum van modern Istanbul. De studio is eenvoudig maar voldoende voor diegene die niet veel eisen stelt. Sanitair en douche is matig. De straat is erg rustig, bijna geen verkeer! Er is één tweepersoonsbed. Een eventuele derde persoon ligt op een matras op de grond (niet geschikt voor lange mensen). Verder aanwezig: waterkoker, elektrisch kookplaatje, satelliettelevisie (vooral Arabische zenders), koelkast.

The location of the apartment is brilliant - a short 5 minute walk from Taksim Square and the main shopping street of Istiklal Caddesi. The room is furnished with a double bed, sink area with cupboards, a single hotplate and coffee-pot, fridge, desk with 2 chairs, fan, heater, hairdryer, two couches and a small table. The bathroom has shower, toilet and sink. The apartment is on the 3rd floor, so you will get plenty of exercise using the stairs when leaving and coming back. The bedding is plentiful and some coathangers and hooks are provided in lieu of a wardrobe. The wifi works and stays connected, which is a bonus! The street is being renovated at the moment, so check with Gökhan to see when the roadworks are finished as access is difficult at times. He is very willing to help with luggage, etc., though, so it doesn't pose too much of an issue. The area is a little run-down and seems to be a favourite hang-out for all the local stray cats and dogs, so I suggest you keep the windows shut on a night to block out the noise. If it's hot, use the fan provided! The bathroom is in need of renovation. Hot water is non-existent; warm water patchy. As if usual in Turkey, the shower is just a hose with a showerhead (as opposed to a cubicle per se) and the whole bathroom then becomes a "wet room". Be sure to remove towels and toilet paper from the room before showering, otherwise it'll get soaked! The location is perfect for exploring the area and for doing some shopping. The shuttle buses to both airports run every half hour during the day and through the evening and are reliable and fast (subject to traffic!) There are a couple of 24 hour shops just on the cross street, but their prices can be pretty expensive. The best places to eat are on the alleyways coming off from Istiklal Caddesi, rather than on the long street itself, where prices are geared towards tourists, rather than locals. Look for a little cafe where there are Turkish people eating in their droves and you won't go far wrong! Gökhan is a brilliant host and couldn't have been more helpful. He provided me with maps, ferry timetables and gave me lots of advice about what to do while in Istanbul. For the price and location, you can't choose a better apartment than Gökhan's!

Basic accomodation near the heart of Taksim square. Livingroom and bathroom were clean. Good place to crash, sleep , wash and leave to explore Istanbul.. The cat pee smell in the corridor was a pity. But....value for money. And Gókhan is a nice guy.

Just an wondeful travel in Istanbul with the very kind assistance of Göhkan, the appartement is located very close to the city center, close to all transportation. It is simple but with all you need. Wifi connection, shower.... and Gökhan is very helpful.

conveniently located nearby taksim (approximately 5-10min walk.). the neighboorhoud is typical for istanbul and safe. small markets are "just around the corner" covering your daily needs. the place itsself is very plain and basic, just aneough for a short stay. Gökhan is a great host and was very helpful.

The flat is very modest and need some improvement. Still, the neighborhood is very quite and we felt secure. Plus, Gokhan is a very kind person, always available.

II with my friend stayed at Gokhan's apartment in Istanbul for 3 days (July, 9-11 th). As for the apartment, the most important thing about it is its perfect location- a 5 minute walking distance from Taksim square. The house is quite old-so it would be interesting for tourists to feel the original Turkish lifestylle. The apartment is upstairs and has a wonderful view. It has all necessary facilities for everyday use. Generally,the apartment is not luxirious, so it's the best choice just to sleep and have shower. But the most exciting thing about it- host Gokhan who is very kind and helpful.
