Description
The room that I propose is located in the historic center of Florence.
In ancient times, until 1300, was part of the monastery of Saint Catherine of Alexandria and, later, in 1400, was occupied by "Battilana", an ancient guild of craftsmen (nearby is a sign that reminds the ancient church).
Subsequently, there were many changes and the present appearance of the nineteenth century.
The room that I propose, I restored with great passion: In fact I managed to keep the antique coffered ceiling, finishes in stone and brick, the wood floors!
I have a beautiful bathroom (very large and comfortable with a shower) and a Wi-Fi Internet facility.
Most importantly, you will have a separate entrance, which gives you the maximum freedom.
On foot, in ten minutes, you can reach the Cathedral and Giotto's bell tower, moving from St. Mark's Place (where is the famous Last Supper by Ghirlandaio) and the beautiful St. Annunziata?s Place. Another route, perhaps to go back to, you can cross the characteristic district of San Lorenzo.
The Santa Maria Novella railway station is a 10 minute walk; but if you come by car, are close to the Avenue Lavagnini.
Nearby, also, there are some typical Florentine trattorias / restaurants : the evening, after your exciting day of sightseeing, with a very reasonable cost, you can quietly enjoy a delicious dinner.
The historic center of Florence is pedestrian zed but if you want, you can rent a bike near here.
I'll wait you ... see you soon! Thank you, Daniela.
