The apartment we got was located at the ground floor, with a window facing Gloucester Place. We had a functioning kitchen, a shared bathroom, a desk with a chair, a cabinet and two single beds. I originally booked the room to have a double bed, so I went to the reception and talked with them. They assured me it would not be a problem and they could easiely move the two single beds together, which they almost immediatly did. The bed was a little to soft for my taste but really comfy, as was the room. The bathroom was clean and we never had to wait to use it. The shower had nice hot water and was spacious enough. The fridge was very spacious and we would have easiely fitted the food for a whole week in it. There was all the utensils if we wanted to eat and drink, but I am not sure anymore if we would have been able to cook on a stove. A microwave and hot water was always provided.
Now to the little downsides:
The flat was quite hard to find, even with a map. Because its not really down Glouster Place, but a sidestreet which also counts as Glouster Place. So check the map carefully.
Also the noise from the street was really bad. Since the windows wouldn't close properly and also were quite old the noise from the street was clearly hearable. We chose to sleep with the windows closed, even though it was really hot and stuffy in the room. Be aware that Glouster Place is the street that goes in the opposite direction of Baker Street, so it is its equivalent in noise and traffic. It really didn't do our sleep any good, and me and my partner woke several times every night. Around 2 a.m. it got a little more quiet and it started to get noisy again around 5.30 a.m. We know since we went to arestful sleep when it got more quiet and woke up when it got louder.
So I would really advise you to bring earplus, even though the people who rent that place didn't recommend earplugs when I asked them beforehand.
Over all it was a nice stay with really helpful people. If you don't mind the noise, opposing to me ( I am from the quiet countryside by the way and simply not used to it), it is a very affordable and very cental place.
The room was lovely, clean and we had everything we needed.
Also the location was so great we could walk to the Oxford Steet in 5 minutes.
Furthermore the staff was really friendly - we could always ask for good advice.
I will come back to your apartment for sure - really nice one.
The studio was old but clean and well kept. It was nice to have facilities for a small meal or tea. The location of the studio is superb: a five-minute walk from Baker Street Underground station, and about ten minute walk to Oxford Street. Very good value for your money, especially if you're only staying for a couple of days, are looking for a central location and are on a budget.
A comfortable room. Great location in central London. Shared bathroom and quite basic décor but this is reflected in the very reasonable price. Very clean. I stayed with my daughter, when we visited London for my daughters graduation. Very friendly and helpful staff. As a female I felt safe at this property.
The room I was given was very tiny (smaller than what the photo looks like).
Nevertheless the room was OK, VERY ESSENTIAL. The kitchen worked fine. For somewhat reason the tv only received Arab channels, so it's lucky we didn't spend much time inside. The top floor where our room was isn't very good looking, and I would suggest something of a refournishing at least for the bathroom rooms.
All in all, the room was CLEAN, everything worked well, the place is VERY CENTRAL and the people working were very PLEASANT.
I would recommend this place for a 2 to 4 night stay, if you want to visit London not caring much about where you sleep and eat.
Very good location, helpful staff, and a clean room.
Excellent if you don't have big suitcases (p.s tairs).
My brother and sister and I booked this place for an extended weekend for our parents.
They came back very happy by their stay. They find this place of good quality and very good locations in London in the center not far from Baker Street made famous by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's hero Sherlock Holmes.
If you want a good place to stay, very convenient for visits at an interesting price, i would recommend this one.
Both my self and daughter had a nice time staying at the small apt. It was very clean and Gabby was just a nice person. Location was very good and a short walk to the tube station.
Would tell others. evan
