Description
The studio is located in the center of Berlin, directly at one of the historic "Stalinist", nearby the underground station Strausbergerplatz at the Karl-Marx-Allee (largest boulevard of East Berlin). The studio is at ground level, separated by a small corridor of the road.
The apartment is located in the Friedrichshain district, which is east of inner city district Mitte. The former East German government erected buildings of prestige in this former worker's quarter, notably on the Frankfurter Allee. Due to its proximity to the university, and its low rents, the district has become popular with young people and artists since unification. Friedrichshain has become the youthful, trendy neighbourhood and a centre of Berlin's nightlife. The areas around Boxhagener Str. and Simon Dach Str. are famous for their wide selection of bars and clubs. Even clubs like the Berghain are not far away.
During the day, the Volkspark is a great option for going for a walk. Here you can enjoy the view from the mountain bunker. On the banks of the Spree, you can walk along the East Side Gallery, one of the last relicts of the Berlin Wall.
The location is excellently connected to Mitte thanks to the U5 subway line and the S-Bahn lines S3, S5, S7, S9 and S75. The S-Bahn lines S2, S8, S9, S41 and S42 connect the district with the neighbouring Prenzlauer Berg and Treptow. Friedrichshain is also accessible by commuter train lines and several tram lines. Kreuzberg can be reached via the underground line U1.
