Because these are furnished Hotel Apartments, upon check in, we require a security deposit of $30.00 per night or $200.00, whichever is more, to be authorized on your credit card, but not charged, in case of loss or damage. However, since authorizations last only up to 30 days, If your stay is over 25 nights, the security deposit is a refundable charge to your credit card upon check in. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover.

A valid photo ID (U.S. drivers license or passport) is required upon check in.

All reservations are made subject to the following Terms & Conditions and guests will be asked to sign a copy upon arrival:

Registration/Payment
These terms and conditions apply to all guests, sponsors, and their invitees who shall be jointly and severally liable for all charges incurred by any of them under these terms and conditions, and any increased rate due to additional guests or change in length of stay. At time of reservation, a credit card will be charged for the deposit described, including tax. Remaining charges for the reserved stay shall be charged to a credit card upon check-in, in addition to a refundable security deposit authorization of $30 per day, but at least $200, unless specially otherwise set. A valid photo ID (passport, drivers license or ID card) is required of each guest upon check in. If the balance cannot be paid or the security authorization cannot be made by credit card at check-in, or if a valid unexpired photo ID is not presented, or if the photo or signature does not match, the guest(s) may not check in, and any deposit will only be refunded to the extent we are able to re-rent the room for the dates reserved, less administrative costs. We do not accept cash.

Deposit Payments to Hold Reservations
In order to reserve a hotel apartment for up to 3 nights a 1 night deposit is required; for 4 to 9 nights, a 2 night deposit is required; for 10 to 13 nights, a 3 night deposit is required, for 14 to 20 nights, a 6 night deposit is required; for 21 to 25 nights, a 7 night deposit is required; and for 26 to 30 nights, a 10 night deposit is required.

Affordable Hotel Apartment Terms
Essex Manor provides affordable accommodations and one free parking space per hotel apartment. Hotel does not provide any room supplies beyond an initial small courtesy sample of coffee, toiletries, toilet paper, etc. No gratuities are allowed; hotel room housekeeping and bellmen services are not provided; guests must tote their own bags; there is a coin-operated laundry room; and there are fully furnished kitchens instead of room service.

Cancellations and Refunds
For a full refund of a deposit on a single hotel apartment reservation, Essex Manor must receive notice of the cancellation at least 1 week before a stays of 9 nights or less; 10 days before stays of 10 to 20 nights; and 2 weeks before stays of 21 to 30 nights. If a reservation is canceled on short notice or the guest does not show up, the deposit shall apply to the first night(s) and will only be refunded to the extent Essex Manor re-rents the hotel apartment for the time reserved, less administrative costs. Cancellation requirements for multiple reservations shall be specially set.

Extending Stay
A stay may be extended only upon written confirmation by Essex Manor and only if it will not interfere with Essex Manor’s honoring of prior reservations.

Checking In/Out Appointments
Check in must occur by appointment with the hotel manager after 3:00 p.m. on the first day of guest’s stay. Check out must occur by appointment by 11:00 a.m. on the day following the last night of guest’s stay. Check-ins between midnight and 2:00 a.m. will be charged an additional $10. Check-ins after 2:00 a.m. will be charged an additional $15.

Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone without a reason, and in such an event, any amounts previously deposited for such a stay may be refunded. We may choose not to rent to anyone too close to the requested stay or to anyone under 21, and if we choose to rent under such circumstances, we may require a sponsor and/or a greater security deposit.

Liability
We shall bear no liability in excess of a refund of amounts paid if a hotel apartment is not available when planned for any reason including but not limited to an Act of God, a need for repair, or in the very unlikely event of having to remove a guest who has overstayed, or refusal of service.

No Smoking in Rooms or Building
As a courtesy to non-smokers and for safety purposes, smoking is not allowed in the hotel apartments or within any area of the hotel. However, guests may smoke on the front porch of the hotel where there is a bench and ashtray. If a guest smokes in a room, at least $100.00 will be charged for the cleaning, etc., to remove the stench.

No Lifeguard on Duty and Requirement to Supervise Children
Guests understand that there is no lifeguard on duty in the gated Jacuzzi area which is supposed to remain locked, but which could be left open by a guest. Guests will assure that any children they bring into the hotel will be supervised at all times in all areas of the hotel, and particularly in or near the jacuzzi area.

Payment for Removal or Damage to Hotel Property or Other Amounts Due
Hotel apartments are carefully inspected and inventoried before and after occupancy. A guest and sponsor shall be liable and their credit cards and security deposits may be charged upon discovery of any hotel property removed or damaged, any mechanical or plumbing problems, including those caused by foreign objects dropped into a low flow toilet, and any extraordinary cleaning expenses including laundry stain removal. Charges shall include all required labor and incidental expenses to repair or replace, including administrative work, and all resulting losses to the hotel, including lost income.

Misconduct, Waste, Nonpayment or Overstay
Guests shall not waste resources, utilities, or leave air conditioning, heat, lights, or appliances on when guests are gone. Guests shall be charged a minimum of $5.00 for each incidence of such waste. No guest shall disturb the peace, create a nuisance, damage, stain, or remove property, fail to maintain premises in a sanitary, healthful condition, or engage in any illegal activities. No parties are allowed on the premises. No pets of any kind are allowed on the premises. If a guest or invitee fails to check out in accordance with the reservation, the guest may be removed and charged removal and the overstay. If a guest has not paid all charges incurred, or engages in what the hotel deems misconduct, or violates any of these terms and conditions, the hotel shall have the right to immediately remove such guest and/or invitees and their personal belongings at their expense, and to charge guest for any resulting expenses and/or rental loss. Security, police and/or governmental entities may be involved at the hotel’s discretion.

Vehicles Parked in Hotel Parking Lot
A vehicle parked in the hotel parking lot is parked at the guest’s/vehicle owner’s risk, and the hotel shall not be liable for any damage/loss. Guests are prohibited from the sale, rental, or transfer of their right to occupy a parking space, and if any vehicle is not parked in its assigned space or if any vehicle other than the guest’s designated vehicle is left in the hotel parking lot without hotel’s written consent, the vehicle may be removed or towed at guest’s/sponsor’s/owner’s expense.

Property Left Behind
If any property is left behind, we will make reasonable efforts to advise the owner before disposing of same after 14 days.

Privacy Policy
We will protect your privacy by not sharing your personal and credit card information with any other outside entity.

Entire Agreement/Attorney’s Fees
This is the entire agreement between guests/sponsors/invitees and the hotel. If any terms or conditions are found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms and conditions will remain in effect. Any waiver of any term, shall not constitute waiver of any other term. In the event legal action must be taken, all parties agree that the action will be filed and litigated in Los Angeles, California. The prevailing party will be entitled to recover reasonable attorney’s fees, costs, and expenses, from the other party or parties, whether a court action is filed or not.

Bonjour, Nous avons passer un agréable séjour à L'appartement HOTEL WEST MAE ! Bon accueil et personnel très sympathique. Seule petite reproche... Les fenêtres ne s'ouvre pas. Mis à part un tout petit coin. Et il faut savoir que l'appartement est du coté d'un restaurant karaoké. Et c'est vraiment très très bruyant.

I enjoyed to stay in the apartment. The room was clean, light and quite, and it has an very good connection to the public transport of L.A. (you don't need a car). The apartment was like announced at the Wimdu site.

Nice, quite and clean apartment with excellent connection to the public transportation in LA. We found the apartment as announced at the Wimdu site. We liked the Hollywood motto of the hotel and the posters and photographs of W.C.Fields in our apartment. Nice communication before our stay, uncomplicated check-in and check out, professional introduction by Don, the manager. We suggest the Essex Manor to all who look for a headquarters for the discovery of Los Angeles.

4 of us stayed here for our first trip to LA. And for the price we paid it was absolutely worth it. We were surprised to see how new the appliances were and how clean the place was. Extra clean sheets, tons of clean towels available right in the apartment for use. Super clean kitchen and appliances. A very well maintained place. There was free parking in a gated area by the building, which was great. The extra fun part is that there was a hot tub for my friends and I to chill in after a long day of touring the city. Great location, easy to drive to our destinations within the city. We are planning to stay here again for sure.
