Minutes to Manhattan Room#1

Certainly it was not expensive and the neighborhood is ok. The place is really close to the metro and in max 30 min you are in the heart of Manhattan. So it's a good compromise to visit NYC. However, as someone else said, it's like sleeping in a hostel. The difference is that the others can not see you but you hear everything what happens, even in the kitchen. The place could be cleaner, but the real problem for us was the air stream from the two kitchen windows (more, one of them opens all the time!). We felt it even in our room (n°1)! In winter, it is really not nice and we had to find a solution by ourselves, Otherwise, Kwesi seems very nice, but we've only seen him briefly twice.

Alles Okay, netter Gastgeber. Zimmer und Bad zwar klein, dafür Platz in der Küche! Umgebung war auch in Ordnung, U-Bahn Station und Geschäfte in unmittelbarer Nähe.

The room is not so far from Williamsburg and Manhattan also. It is small but clean and comfortable. For the price and quality it is a good compromise.

The first impression we had was awful, the rooms are situated halfway underground, every room is small and the ceiling is 2 meters high. Good points : Price, 50 minutes away from downtown, kitchen Weak points : Noisy, small, smelly

au vue de la photo on dirait une chambre pourtant c'est un couloir fermé a moitier. cette chambre ne merite pas etre publier car elle n'a rien de privé. on a l'impression d'etre dans un couloir. j'aimerai que wumdu verifie les chambres avant de les publier. elle ne mérite pas du tout son prix

Good choice if you want a cheap alternative for a stay in New York. The subway station is just 3 mins away and it takes about 30-40 mins to manhattan. We did not had any issues with this room, but don't expect any luxury ;-)

A bit basic. Kellerwohnung, ohne Fenster, Lichtschalter ausserhalb des Verschlags. Keine Möbilierung. Sehr ringhörig. Matratze: durchgelegen. Umgebung: Hamburgerbrater in einiger Entfernung. Zum Bus-Stop: 15 Min. That's it. Low amenity district.

Kwesi himself is very friendly and always ready to help. He gives you, for example, good and detailed journey and check-in descriptions. I really appreciated that! The only negative thing: the room doesn't consist of any windows. That means that there is an open gap above the wall to the corridor making it rather noisy. But overall, that doesn't really disturb if you need the room only for sleeping during a short stay.
