This building is next to the Largo, (called the Fountain Square Inside) where the Museum of Fado. It is therefore very close to public transport, bus 100 meters to many parts of the city and the Metro 300 meters and the train (Santa Apolonia). There is in this historical area of Lisbon small restaurants, where some typical Fado is sung, has traditional trade, grocery stores, drug stores, fishmongers, butchers, bars and terraces. There are various churches and museums in this area that few can appreciate. The ideal to enjoy all this area, go to the castle of the city and walking through these streets. It is 10 minutes from downtown and Chiado.
Tb is near the Tagus River where there are some seafood restaurants and a little later a nightclub called Lux, very famous.
In the month of June are the Feasts of the City, especially in Alfama, where there is great animation, music, sardines in carbon, drinks, fado, in the very streets of this neighborhood.
