A beautifully bright apartment it has a bay window overlooking the city of Dublin with wonderful views of the mountains. We have maintained some of the original features such as the marble fireplace and the high ceilings with coving. This gives a feeling of space and airiness that is hard to find in a modern accommodations. All of our apartments are fully equipped with microwave, cooker, fridge, iron, ironing board and hairdryer to make sure that your stay is as comfortable as can be.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils you would need for self catering and we provide freshly laundered bed linen and towels. Maps information and leaflets are provided in the apartment to help guests choose the best sights and things to do and see while staying there. All utilitities, Wifi and parking are provided in the price. There is an excellant bus service that runs right by the house and is frequent and reliable.
Airport transfer available upon request for a fee. I manage to meet most guests on arrival but if I can't I nearly always get to meet them before they check out.
My caretaker lives on the premises and he helps to check in guests when I'm unavailable. I'm always available by phone or email and am happy to assist guests in any way I can. This street is a beautifully tree lined street which runs right up the the entrance of the Phoenix Park. This park is the largest urban park in Europe and houses Dublin Zoo and the presidential home and offices as well as a children's playground. It is a wonderful park to visit and spans over 1750 acres.
The street also has beautiful Victorian red bricked houses all along it which date back to the 18th century so it really is a taste of old Dublin.
There is a major supermarket just 2 minutes walk as well as a pharmacy, bakery, coffee shops, bars, restaurants and many other amenities all within easy walking distance. There are several bus routes right outside the house which will take you directly to the city center. Buses are regular and convenient. We can also provide a taxi transfer from the airport if requested. We can also arrange a taxi for other excursions if desired.
Washer for use of all accommodates of the complex.
As there are other guests in the house we would ask that noise is kept to a minimum at all times and to be respectful of other guests.

The flat is furnished as described, all clean, of good quality and well functioning. The organised transport from and back to the airport was very helpfull, Liam (or may be his driver - I don`t know) went out of his way to make this work for us.
It is situated a bit out of the center and up on a small hill or ridge overlooking nearly the whole towncenter. That`s what I love most about it: pulling the curtains open in the morning and enjoying the view over Dublin through the huge bay-window while having breakfast, pointing out where we would go later that day and watching the weather coming towards us.
While my daughter most enjoyed the perfectly working wi-fi.
It is not too far from the center. There is a bus-staton right in front of the house with at least two lines going to the city-center.
We preferred to walk though: it`s about 15 minutes to the zoo and 30 min. to either the Guinness-Storehouse or Ha´penny Bridge.
There is a Tesco`s around the corner with - for mainland europeans - astonishingly extended opening times.
So all in all a perfect choice when yor`re looking for a self catering appartement. And I will certainly want to stay there again the next time I visit Dublin.
Thanks to Liam for the friendly welcome and the perfect organization of the taxi from and to the airport. The flat was clean and its furnishing comfortable. Just a pan and the cd-player should be fine. We enjoyed the nice view over a part of Dublin. The way to the centre is not too far. We like to recommend this apartment. If we will come back to Dublin, we like to stay there again.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in Liam's Newly Restored Victorian Apartment. We were arriving late in the evening and so we asked him to leave a key out for us. It was exactly where he said it would be, and the apartment was relatively easy to find using our GPS in the car.
Our room was very clean when we came in. We found a booklet of information about the city and transportation on the breakfast table. We didn't need it, but they would have been very helpful if we did not have a car.
Liam provided bread, milk, butter and fruit which was a lovely touch. There was leftover cereal in the cabinet from other guests, and using this we were able to eat breakfast in our room every morning! This was a very unexpected surprise. We were planning on replacing the cereal but did not have time (Sorry Liam!).
We did get to meet our host going out of the hotel room one time. Liam was very friendly and suggested several places for us to eat dinner.
The room was quiet, and we were pleased to be able to control the temperature in the cold of winter with a heater. There is also free wi-fi which was easy to connect to and a relatively good speed. Probably not enough to stream a movie (we didn't try), but plenty for Facebook, web browsing, email and the like.
The only thing that we did not like about the room was that the water pressure in the shower is not very good. It is enough to rinse off after a long day, but not really good for a long relaxing shower. Even with this, we would still recommend this to a friend and we hope to stay there in the future if we ever find ourselves in Dublin again.
I wish I could say that everything was fine but to be honest, that's not how things went. We agreed the check in at 2. Nobody was waiting for us, we had to call and wait for the host half an hour. The apartment wasn't clean and there was still the previous guests luggage inside. We had a sandwich from tesco in a car park for lunch, went back but the cleaning lady wasn't there yet. To cut it short we eventually were able to get in at 5 something. Wifi didn't work for the whole 4 days, as tourists that was a problem (get info about transports, check local services, do reservations, check in online for our flight and everything). Guest apologized for everything but our idea of welcome is far from that.
Apartment well located. limpio.A comfortable and despite not having met the owner continually been responsive and helpful via phone. Without a doubt I recommend it to anyone or myself would choose the same place if I return to Dublin.
A good apartment with all the household items you need. A tesco nearby and the walking distance to central Dublin was about 20-30min, or you had the buses just outside.
Stay excellent, fits the description.
Séjour excellent, tout correspond à la description.
Our vacation was partially ruined by chosing to stay in this house. I was fooled by all the positive feedback here. Liam didn't show up at the flat at the agreed time. He did not respond to phone calls. // Afterwards he kept saying he forgot his phone in the car and that he can't do anything but apologize. The weird thing was just that sometimes when I called the phone it was making that sound it makes when the person is already on the phone with somebody else and when I called again the line was free but nobody answered the phone. I can't proove it but it was a very frustration situation. We all felt like he was lying right into our faces. // We waited for two hours and after an hour we chose to wait in the car right in front of the house. An hour later a friend of Liam suddenly appeared and gave us the keys. I asked him what went wrong and he told us that we were right and something went really wrong there but he also said that he did not see us in front of the door and kept trying to imply that we did not wait for 2 hours. Then he said he was in far worse situations and we should feel good that we only had to wait for 2 hours. Liam later said that he maybe sent us an email and changed the agreement. He did not send us an email. The next shock hit us when we entered the wrong flat. This flat that you see above is not the one we booked but it's the one we got. There was only one bedroom. My dad snors so I always make sure to book a bedroom from my parents and one for me. We stayed in that flat for 2 days and I was not able to sleep. The first two days in Dublin were ruined. Then we met Liam for the first time after I told him that we have to do something about this situation. He was there really fast. That was a good thing. On the next day we got to move into a bigger flat. 2 rooms + a bathroom. But the two beds were in the same room. So I slept on the couch in the living room for the rest of the time. It's not fun to write such a bad review but that's just how it was and I really feel like I need to warn people about this place. I've been to Dublin many times and I stayed at great places for half the price of that room. Liam did not contact us again. I could write so much more bad things but I just want to forget this experience as fast as possible. Oh and we also called the Emergency Center at Wimdu. If you expect any help from them you have a problem. They infromed me that in case you can't get into the flat you've booked they will not book you into a hotel room. They will not look for places where you could stay. That's your job. :) They try to contact the person who's supposed to give you the keys,.. and that's all. You have to pay the hotel room or any other place you eventually find and you also have to pay for the flat you can't enter.
