Room in Amsterdam Center - Free Wifi

Well, I waited for 4 month to write this review. I had hard times to think about how i should write this. First of all: We had a vey nice time in Amsterdam! the apartment was nice, clean and easy to reach. So if you are looking for a low priced apartment in amsterdam, take it! But our stay was not without problems. Way not. Sam told us that he would not be in the city as we arrive, but his girlfriend was. He said his doorbell isnt working so we should call. As we were there and called, the phone was switched off. (It was the his phone, not the phone of his girlfriend, we hadn't her number) We waited for 40 Minutes infront of the house and didnt knew what to do. We were lucky because a neighbour came and so we could knock on the apartment door. His (very nice and helpfull) girlfriend opened the door and let us in. But she thought only 2 people were coming, me and my girlfriend. But we were 3, me and 2 friends of mine. That was, indeed, a misunderstanding in both ways! i am not innocent! In our wimdu communication i wrote "me and my friends" all the time and we talked about "the room for four for the price of two" The problem was that sam was talking about the room size and i was talking about the actual people count! (one friend stayed at home, we would have been 4). Not the problem, misunderstanding in both ways! once again, I am not innocent! The problem was that sam was extremly rude per email after this point. He accused me to try to scam him, called instantly wimdu support and wanted 150€ on the hand or we have to leave the apartment. that is nearly double the price we had to pay per person (80/person/4 nights). He sad we have to pay for the extra guy 150 euro. instantaneously or we have to leave the apartment. He knew exactly that we had absolutely no choice! we had to pay because we cannot live on the streets! So we paid with our last cash. We did not got money from the bank for 1 and a half day because the Bank back home had a computer problem so we could not get money from the ATM. We told this. But he didn't care. So we were kinda in trouble the day. Under the line: We paid much more than expected, he could have said any price and we had to pay it. he knew that. 150€ instead of 80 is kinda rude. Also he accused us (with red bold text in an email) to smoke in the apartment, what we didn't, not once! As he got the money he was very friendly again. His girlfriend was friendly and helpful all the time. So: If you want to live in this Apartment: DO IT! It is a nice place to stay! But please make sure that the facts are all written down so it doesnt come to any misunderstanding!!

Amsterdam è una stupenda città! C'è sempre qualcosa di nuovo da scoprire! La devi vivere per capirne a pieno la bellezza!

Es war super schön bei Sam ein sehr freundlicher u hilfsbereiter Mensch.Würden immer wieder gerne zu Ihn fahren. Wohnt nicht weit von der Innenstadt entfernt kann man auch gut zu Fuß hin gehen,wenn man Spaziergänge mag.Wir sind immer noch sprachlos über unsere Silvesternacht!

Hello everybody, my experiences in Amsterdam at Sams Flat were fantastic. I had a nice time in an apartment with a nice neighbourhood. Sam and his friends are really friendly and I will definetly come back. :) L*

I enjoyed staying with Sam while I was visiting Amsterdam. This was my first time trying out Wimdu and I couldn't have picked a better host. Sam was incredible helpful and friendly. His apartment is just a short busride from the city central and even a shorter distance from the Airport. I recommend Sam to everyone who wants to stay in Amsterdam!

un grand merci a sam pour son acceuil et sa sympathie. il est tres arrangent et tj avec le sourrir. l appartement est tres propre et la chambre vraiment spacieuse, je n en ai jamais vu d aussi agreable en hotel.. l acces a l appart est facile et il y a des places de stationnement dans la rue.

Netter hilfsbereiter Kontakt, großes sauberes Zimmer und gemütliches Bett...so beschreibt man wohl am besten die Erfahrung in dieser sehr empfehlenswerten Stadt!

Sam war ein sehr sehr hilfsbereiter und netter Gastgeber. Der Aufenthalt bei ihm war sehr angenehm und lustig. Ich würde jederzeit wieder bei Sam wohnen, wenn ich Amsterdam besuche.

Sams Zimmer ist perfekt fuer Junge Erwachsene. Sam war sehr freundlich und Amsterdam ist nur weiter zu empfehlen.
