Description
The property is located on the 2nd floor of a charming city backyard cottage - right under the roof - far away from any main road AND ABSOLUTELY QUIET.
EQUIPMENT:
The guest area has a well equipped kitchen, in which there is a sofa and a TV. An Internet connection (DSL) is also available. Our guest room has a queen size bed (1,40 m x 2,00 m) and a spacious wardrobe. It is absolutely quiet.
Thanks to the separate shower room and extra kitchenette (our old kitchen), the guests can use the rented area completely independently and undisturbed. Since we often have visits from friends with children, we are very well equipped: A travel cot for small children or a folding mattress are available upon request (for free).
We do use this area ourselves nearly all year long. However, the guest area can be separated from the rest of the apartment through a door and has, for reasons of preservation (protection of monuments) an old and still usable access to the staircase. You therefore have your tranquility (this is why it’s classified as "own home"). On the other hand, we will be happy to give you any help you may require! We are not professional landlords, we do this privately, as a sideline.
TRANSPORT LINKS
For those who do not want to explore St. Pauli and Altona on foot, there is a bicycle rental service in the immediate vicinity, about 300m away from the house.
The S-Bahn/ subway station " Holstenstraße " is easy to reach (about 8min) and there is also a number of bus (5 min) and train lines really close to the building. (e.g. U3 " Feldstraße, about 12min away).
The remote stations "HH-Altona" and "HH-Dammtor" are about 15 minutes away from our front door with bus and train. They are easily and quickly accessible.
Our guest room is also ideal for visitors of the Hamburg Messe (only one station from the S-Bahn "Holstenstraße" to the station "star jump" or two stops to station "Dammtor").
BEFORE THE DOOR ...
"Just around the corner" (approx 200m) there is a small shop that sells all things we need daily- bread, milk, cheese, fruits and vegetables. The ALDI supermarket on the corner of Holstenstr. and Max-Brauer-Allee is close to the house. Within 500m there is a bakery, a video store, a pharmacy and different kiosks. For those who would prefer not to cook, there is a choice of several restaurants and pubs in the neighborhood.
The Wohler Park, a sports court and many play areas are located in close proximity.
Swimmers and wellness fans just need to walk about 500m to reach the FESTLAND, the swimming pool with Hamburg's largest water playground for children and a large sauna area.
