Apartment close to metro Abbesses

We were a group of five adults and the apartment was a much better choice than two hotelrooms. Two toilets, all the kitchen things ready and good beds to sleep. The only negative thing was the internet: it was working 5 minutes in 5 days! We tried and tried and at last we went to the internet cafe. The location was perfect: good restaurants, boulangerie and shops just around the corner. THANKS A LOT!

Wir waren als sechsköpfige Familie für 5 Tage in Paris 2013, in einem für Paris sehr kalten Frühling. Die Wohnung ist für 6 Personen gut ausgerüstet und geräumig (3 Schlafzimmer, eines davon als Durchgangszimmer, Bad mit Dusche, ein Wohn-Ess-Küchen-Zimmer, ein G-WC mit Waschbecken). Die Lage ist sehr gut, mitten in Montmatre, Metro Abesse oder Pigalle in Fußnähe, alle Geschäfte gut erreichbar. Die Vermieter - wir hatten nur Kontakt zu Claude - sind sehr freundlich, die Schlüsselübergabe klappte problemlos, eine Haus-Mappe ( Bäcker, Taxi-Service, Restaurants mit Preisangabe, Notfallnummern, Wäscheservice etc. ) liegt bereit, der Ehemann Claude spricht für alle Fälle Englisch. Zu den Kritik-Punkten: 1) Die Wohnung ist für eine Familie recht gut geeignet, aber für eine Gruppe von 6 Personen weniger: ein Schlafzimmer ist Durchgangszimmer zum Bad für alle. Das Bad ist sehr klein, das seperate WC ist in einem engen Verschlag untergebracht inkl. Wäsche-Ständer, eine Heizung gibt es nur im Vorraum ( alle Heizkörper sind Radiatoren). Die Fenster lassen sich nicht verdunkeln, es existieren zwar dünne Raff-Rollos aus Bast und dünne Vorhänge, die aber eher kosmetischen Sinn haben: Die Straßenlaterne scheint rein und das Durchgangszimmer hat lediglich provisorische Vörhänge zum Hof, so dass, wenn immer dieser betreten wird und die automatische Beleuchtung angeht, das Zimmer erleuchtet wird. Zudem ist die Wohnung äußerts hellhörig: sowohl hört man die Nachbarn, wenn sie um 3 Uhr nachts zurückkommen (nicht laut singend, sondern ganz normal) oder die Mülltonnen um 5:30 im Hof hinundher geschoben werden, aber dann ist das Zimmer ja ohnehin wieder hell - wegen der Hofbeleuchtung. Dies mögen alles Punkte sein, die eben typisch parisienne sein mögen und der eine oder andere hat Oropax oder eben einen tiefen Schlaf - aber man sollte sich halt im Vorfeld darüber im Klaren sein. Der Hauptkritikpunkt ist aber die Hygiene: leider waren nicht nur die Bäder sämtlich mit schwarzem Schimmel befallen (die Dusche, die Wände hinter den WCs, wo die Farbe/Fliesen abplatzen etc.) sondern auch z.T. Schimmel an Wänden hinter den Schränken in den Schlafzimmern. Wir sind nicht pingelig mit Staub usw. - aber bei Schimmel sieht es anders aus. Und hier vielleicht etwas grundsätzliches über das Mieten bei Wimdu: man hat das Gefühl "wie bei Freunden zu wohnen" - und da beklagt man sich schließlich nicht über solche Dinge. Aber es handelt sich hier um ein ganz banales Ferienwohnung-Mietportal, also rein professionnell. So vermieten viele Vermieter nicht "ihre Wohnung" für Urlauber - sondern haben meistens mehrere Wohnungen in der Vermittlung, so auch Sue und Claude, die ca. 10 Wohnungen vermitteln. Es sind also sind "professionelle" Vermieter mit Provision über Wimdu. Wenn so ein Aufenthalt zwar günstiger ist als z.B. ein Hotel, dann mag man einige Unanehmlichkeiten hinnehmen. Aber es ist noch lange kein Grund, die Wohungen nicht zu renovieren oder zu sanieren, um weiterhin den Mietern einen "gesunden" Aufenthalt zu garantieren. Ansonsten gerne wieder - auch über Windu, denn Paris ist immer eine Reise wert !

Big Apartment in a nice area. My family and me had enough room for our luggage and everybody had a room on his own. It was clean and comfortable. Close to the Metro but you can start sightseeing right in front of the door! We enjoyed it, I can recommend it.

We stayed in Paris for 4 nights. The actual apartment was lovely! It fulfilled all our needs. We were a party of 9 and this was a comfortable stay. The apartment is fully equipped. Do not take a double buggy to Paris! It was a nightmare!

We found this apartment to be ideal for our party of 8, it is very clean and well equipped for a party of that size, the table size being the only compromise. Situated between the Moulin Rouge and Sacre Coeur it is in a very active area, this does not mean loud and unpleasant but thriving and interesting with busy high quality restaurants and bars, patiserries and fruit and veg shops. All in all, a very nice place to be that is within easy reach of the city centre by bus, metro or with a little more effort on foot. If i go back to Paris in the future then this will be where i will look to stay. Sue and Claude the owners have gone to great lengths to make their guests welcome including a booklet with details on local amenities which comes in very handy,

A very nice and clean appartment in a calm street at Montmartre. The host was very informative and everything went smooth. The internet was not functioning, but that was not that important to us. An apartment we can recommend. Very suitable for a big family or six young people.

The excellent apartment where there is all necessary. A convenient arrangement on Montmartre. The owner was very exact at entrance and departure, helped with all questions. The bathroom equipment and heating works well, very clean. Only wi-fi is badly caught in the house, but for this case Claude gave us the mobile modem. There is no washing machine, but it wasn't necessary for us during stay. I recommend for family and groups of friends.

We spent four wonderful days in Paris with our two young children. The apartment was great. Good location, lots of space, clean and comfortable. I will definitely recommend this to my friends!
