Great Value in New York City

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine chez Steve (que l'on n'a vu quune fois) et Frida. Frida était toujours dispo pour nous donner des conseils précieux sur NY. Le logement se trouve a 10mn (15mn le matin quand ça bouchonne) de NY et l'arrêt de bus se trouve a qq mètres de la maison. Cest très pratique. Le logement n'est pas récent mais vu les prix proposés sur Manhattan, le rapport qualité/prix est excellent! Une adresse à garder!

We had a very good time! She was very friendly and helpful. Nice rooms. And a very fast connection to NYC. Within 15 Minutes you are at the Times Square. Thanks a lot to Frieda.

Die Wohnung hat eine super Lage! Mit dem Bus faehrt man 10 Minuten in die Stadt und erreicht dann durch einen Tunnel in 5 Minuten den Times Square! Also absolut spitze! Wir haben uns richtig wohl gefuehlt bei Frida und Steve und fanden es super, dass es eine große Kueche mit allem was man braucht gab und sogar Fruehstueck! Wir wuerden jederzeit wiederkommen! :-)

We had a very nice stay with Steve and his wife. Their place is not located in the center of Manhattan, but that's OK. One of the buses will take you there within 10 minutes. And you get to have a great view on the city itself from the waterline. The rooms (we stayed in two) were basic, but nice. You've got all you need: a (shared) kitchen, a (shared - unless you have the 2-room studio) bathroom, a bed and some closet space. You spend most of your time in the city, and by staying with Steve and his wife you've got a good quality-cost ratio so you can spend the money you save in the city. Steve and his wife were very kind and had loads of tips. Practical ones, but also tips to save some money!

Avant d'être sur place, je m'inquiétais sur les facilités pour se rendre chaque jour à Manhattan : c'est très facile, il y a de nombreux bus, quelle que soit l'heure (ne pas hésiter à prendre les bus privés aussi, le prix est le même et ils sont nombreux). Steve et Frida sont très attentifs à satisfaire toutes nos demandes. Nous avons eu de très bonnes relations également avec les autres hôtes de la maison, avec échanges de bons plans...

Nous avons séjourné une dizaine de jours avec Steve et Frida. Tout a été sans problèmes, nos hôtes étant toujours prêts à nous donner de précieux conseils. C'est très facile de prendre le bus pour aller ou revenir de New York, les différents arrêts possibles ne sont qu'à quelques minutes de l'appartement. C'est une adresse à recommander !

Zeer warm welkom bij aankomst , Frieda en Steve waren super vriendelijk en gaven ons heel veel info . Alles was heel goed , alleen badkamer was nogal vuil . Locatie is heel goed alsook busverbinding . Heel veel succes nog !

saubere Zimmer, ruhige Lage und gut an den öffentlichen Verkehr angebundend

Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und bieten eine einfache Unterkunft mit gutem Frühstücksservice zu einem prima Preis. Mit dem Bus ist man in 20 min mitten in Manhattan. Bad und Küche teilt man sich mit anderen Gästen. Wem das nichts ausmacht, der ist hier richtig!

Hosts very helpful & courteous. room, spacious & clean but no T/V.Useful walk-in closet but no drawers. Adjacent bathroom: shower OK but bath tub shabby otherwise clean. (clean 2nd bathroom downstairs ). Self cooked breakfast generous and allotted part use of fridge for own provisions and use of kitcen until 10.p.m. very useful for own cooked meals. Xcellent value & location. Bus round corner xtremely convenient, 15 mins to Manhatten near Times Sq. (Senior citizens 1/2 price on bus.) Hudson riverfront and Hamilton park near house provide outstanding views of Manhatten. Thank you for all your help Frieda & Steve.
