Joyce was a lovely host. Great location near the grocery store and Metro.

I enjoyed my short stay with Joyce in Schiedam. I was only there for a few hours of sleep because of a wedding, so I didn't get to spend much time there, but I slept well and I was happy that she offered me her bike for the evening - that saved me a lot of walking around!

Joyce is a very friendly and confidential person. Her house is situated in the beautiful town Schiedam, which is very close to Rotterdam. There are some stores where you can buy food or anything and also the station for metro, train, bus and tram is very close. The house is really cute and my room was clean. The only weird thing were the garbage bags on the windows to darker the room. There is also a lock on the door so I could lock my room. The bathroom could have been a little bit cleaner but Joyce had a cold when I was there so I don't want her to blame for something.

Mein Aufenthalt bei Joyce war insgesamt in Ordnung. Die Gastgeberin ist nett und flexibel, das Haus sehr gut zu finden, Supermärkte zur Verpflegung in der Nähe und die Anbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel perfekt. Was mir weniger gefallen hat, ist der Punkt mit dem Parken. Leider kann man bei Joyce nicht (!) kostenlos parken, obwohl das in der Beschreibung stand. Anscheinend wurde das im letzten halben Jahr geändert und leider hat mich Joyce nicht darüber informiert, obwohl das ein Punkt war, den ich extra noch nachgefragt hatte. Ich hätte zwar (gerne) bezahlt (6-7€ pro Tag) aber dazu braucht man eine Geldkarte, die man aufladen muss und es stand nirgends, wo man die bekommt. :-( Ein weiterer Kritikpunkt ist, dass man die Fenster in meinem Zimmer nicht verdunkeln konnte, da noch keine Rollos angebracht waren (standen aber schon im Zimmer). Stattdessen waren schwarze Mülltüten notdürftig mit Tesa ans Fenster geklebt, welche aber nicht komplett abgedunkelt haben. Auch das Schloss an meinem Zimmer funktionierte nicht, weil es anscheinend ein vorheriger Gast kaputt gemacht hatte. Da Joyce aber eine vertrauenswürdige Person ist, fand ich das nicht so schlimm und ich hatte eh nichts Wertvolles dabei. Insgesamt gebe ich Joyce zwischen 3-4 Sternen, musste mich aber für eine Punktzahl entscheiden.
