Description
The house is in Newtown in a quiet street with large trees and a park. You just have to cross the park to get to buzzing King street with its many restaurants and cafes. All the shops, the train station, the hospital and the University are 5 minutes away.
The house is very modern with a lap pool and has 3 floors, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, large open plan kitchen, lounge, laundry and garage. The bedroom has a nice comfortable double bed, a desk and chair, wardrobe and balcony above the pool + lots of wardrobe. You can use the kitchen to cook your breakfast only, for dinner it's not a problem there is 300 restaurants in Newtown, just around the corner from my place and many of them with reasonable price. I have two tenants, one Australian man and a woman from New Zealand. We have 3 cats and one small poodle and they are the kind that is no problem with people with allergies. There is wireless wi-fi for you to use. The house is quiet and everyone gets along really well.
Newtown is very convenient to the Airport and Sydney's CBD. The Sydney University and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital are also within a short stroll away. Once a modest working class area, Newtown now boasts one of the most popular restaurant strips, which this city has to offer. Excellent eating from many nationalities abounds here. Best of all you don't have to be on an endless budget to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Our local area is now one of the most sought after residential addresses for Sydney-siders''s. Businesses, particularly restaurants, have flocked to King Street, which is at Newtown's heart. The area is well serviced with smart shopping and is now is a far cry from its modest beginnings in the 1960's.
Culturally Newtown is like no other suburb in Sydney, or, quite possibly, Australia. Here is the highest concentration of live theatre venues found anywhere in the country. Newtown is now a stimulating melting pot of society. Walking down King Street you can pass Uni students, colourful artists, same-sex couples, elderly locals, wealthy professionals and young families. Newtown's café culture offers a perfect opportunity to sit back and absorb the surrounding atmosphere. Enjoy a coffee while partaking in the favourite local pass time of people watching.
There is a refreshing air of tolerance about this place. You can tell there are no expectations made - you can be comfortable with whoever you want to be in Sydney's Newtown. You could be in the Plateau in Montreal or the Left Bank of Paris.
If you are coming to Sydney, you can take the taxi straight to my house for about $30.00 or the train to Newtown station and I could meet you there. I have travelled all my life and will help you whenever I can.
