I hope I can be your host and offer a great experience staying in my city centre apartment! Recently awarded 'Excellence' by Tripadvisor!
This listing is for my entire apartment which consists of two double bedrooms and two large comfortable double couchbeds in the livingroom - accommodating a maximum of 8 guests which works well - though usually I say 6 with comfort!
You also have a well equipped kitchen, a large comfortably furnished living room with flat screen TV, satellite channels and a long balcony with great views of Dublin city centre and the Four Courts!
When we meet I will give you a lot of local recommendations and for Dublin in general!
People book through wimdu to get local information and a friendly welcome in your host's home rather than a neutral sterile apartment - when you book the whole apartment you will be free to enjoy it solely but the warm welcome is always offered!
I provide basic breakfast items for you for the first morning - there are many supermarkets within a few minutes' walk with a corner store at my building!
There is a nice bathroom (NEWLY REFURBISHED) with an electric shower offering unlimited hot water for showers!
If you are not looking to rent the entire apartment please check individual listings for availability as often some of the rooms will be available ...
I am within very easy walking distance of anywhere in the city centre! If you want to use public transport a bus stop to the city centre is 2 minute's walk away and I am 4 minutes' walk from the Luas (tram) Red line from where you can have a direct link to the National Convention Centre if you are attending a convention there.
Please check the availability of each listing I offer on its calander as they can differ ..... thanks! - its always worthwhile to message me anyway ... as I can sometimes have availability at the last minute!
If you would like any hints on what to do around Dublin or indeed in planning an itinerary around just get in touch! I also love history and have a keen interest in photography and am happy to point you towards some Dublin gems!
It's nice to know who might be coming to stay so if you can please fill me in just a little on your group and your overall travel plans!
I live in Dublin city centre in Smithfield just 10 mins walk from the heart of Dublin and it's principal 'boulevard' O'Connell Street and the cool social/bar/restaurant quarter - Temple Bar.
In addition there is a host of shops/restaurants/bars located just steps from your Dublin home from home - see the gallery of pics for some cool places at your doorstep!
I have a lot of experience in hosting people and showing people my city – I love talking about recent Irish history and my apartment looks onto the Four Courts building – one of the many historical buildings in Dublin! I can leave you to your own schedule or am happy to suggest good things to do and see, both in Dublin and in the surrounding countryside and beyond .... from galleries and museums to shopping to country / historical walks – just ask – I am happy to point you in the right direction – Dublin awaits you!
There are many tourist attractions such as Jameson Distillery and National Museum, Collins Barracks along with the famous Cobblestone Bar, renowned for Irish music and a great pint of Guinness in Delaney's, right at your doorstep! Just across Dublin's principal river, the Liffey, is St. James' Gate - home of Guinness since 1759!

Reviews of this property
Rory was a very kind person on the first day greeted us and suggested what to see and local cheap where to eat, the apartment is convenient because a few minutes you reach the center ... but unfortunately there is a big complaint apartment clean ... nothing really a disappointment.
A very friendly and humorous especially hosts. A stay where we laughed a lot. Rory is also very helpful. Apartment is ok
Ein sehr freundlicher und vor allem humorvoller gastgeber. Ein aufenthalt bei dem wir viel gelacht haben.
Rory ist außerdem sehr hilfsbereit.
Wohnung ist o.k.
We liked the three days in the apartment (with six people) much. A homely atmosphere. The distance to the center is very well run. The host has really done his best and has a wonderful excursion recommended and arranged to the Cliffs of Moher.
This was our first tie renting with Windmu, and our first visit to Ireland. We rented the apartment based on photos from the website, and were disappointed in what we found when we arrived. Luckily, we were only there for a 3 nights, and spent most of the time elsewhere. First, the apartment looked like someone was living in it, and it was not clean. There was mold and mildew in the bathroom shower, and it obviously hadn't been cleaned in a while. the kitchen had open bags of food, and stuff in the cabinets. One of the refrigerators had been turned off, and there was a container of rotten milk in it that we had to place on the balcony to avoid the stench. The host was nice enough, and sat wit us to go over places we could visit, and offer thoughts on food, and attractions, but this was overshadowed by the lack of attention to the apartment itself. We wouldn't recommend this to others.
