We really had a great time here (4 days). Chris is a wonderful host, studio is nicely decorated, clean and has everything you need for a city-trip, better than a hotel.
Neighbourhoud is vibrant, safe, nice jazz barrs and restaurants neirby. Good metro connections to downtown Manhattan on walking distance.
We had a wonderful stay in NY, partly thanks to Chic Studio in Harlem, and the hospitality of Chris! The location of the flat was good, cause it was next to the metro station (around 30 minutes to down town) There was everything we needed in the flat, all the facitilies like TV, the internet, etc. Thank you Chris.
Very nice little apartment.
Harlem: perfect for exploring this area, attend a gospel Mass and 5 minutes to 3 lines of direct metro to the center of New York.
Nice to be in this quiet after a day in the hustle and bustle of Manhattan (although the street is a bit noisy)
In front of a school: nice to see the children playing in the yard
Super breakfast 5 minutes in a very nice and pleasant place
Attention no catering
The studio is small but nice and well decorated, although it lacks a bit of brightness. Not really chic by cons!
Christopher is very very very nice, very attentive, answered all questions, and provides hyper available places in the area.
In short, ideal for those who are only very few in the apartment (rest of the day to visit).
pleasant and comfortable studio, good bedding appreciable after hours of walking, warm, no noisy neighbors, quiet neighborhood near the metro, many cafe and restaurant has all prices, friendly and punctual Home Christopher who will provide all the places of the city. Excellent choice when you want to live immersed in this city. I recommend without hesitation
We had a very nice time in New York. We arrived only towards the late evening in our hotel and were very warmly welcomed. The property is located in the basement of a standard for Harlem residential building. One may of the studio but do not expect too much, the state is in a need of renovation and the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Since we were only there to sleep for three nights, we've come to terms with it. The metro lines and the bus service to La Guardia were perfect from there. Conclusion: for people who love just a Schlafquatier and not make any great claims, accommodation is OK
The apartment was really cute. The area is quite and peaceful. Chris is lovely and left us a little welcome pack. Bill was really sweet and helped us a lot. Very familiar. Very recommended.
thank you to both of you. Our stay was fabulous.
The Appartment itself is a nice on in the basement of an old brownstone house in Harlem. The location is very nice, being close to the 125th street and with everything you need around the corner. We enjoyed our stay there, although we had some not so nice experiences: On the first morning I discovered a cockroach in the bathtub, although the appartment was clean. Anyway. I removed it and I never saw another one again. During the time we stayed in the appartment a Blizzard was passing by NEw York and exactly at that night the heating stopped working. Bill, the building manager (very nice guy!) told us, that the whole building is without heating at that someone will take care of it. So we cuddled one frosty night and the day after the heating worked again. Again: Given the age of the house and the harsh weather conditions this might happen. Something that really annoyed me was that the heating made some loud noises, which woke me up in the middle of the night sometimes.
But nevertheless, the nice location, the very friendly host and neighbors still make this a worth stay.
Had a great time staying at Chris' studio apartment. The place was cozy and had plenty of room for 2 people. Getting around was simple with nearby subway stops and Harlem was pleasantly quiet after coming back from a busy mid-town. The experience was lovely and Chris was a wonderful host.
We loved everything about our stay in Chris' studio. Chris is a caring host, the studio is very comfy and with great detail decorated! If you have time to spare he has a little library with beautiful books :-) The studio is just a block from the Subway. And Harlem..... We loved it!!! We would definitly stay here again!
