Refurbished Room near Regent's Park

This is a great location. Local and independant cafes and grocery and bakery stores - to hand near by. Tube station 5 mins away. Beautiful parks 5 minutes away. The room is plain and simple, but suffficient for my basic needs during this stay. It might have been a bit cramped had I been sharing, but for one person it was more than adequate for a safe and clean base to stay in a quiet and leafy bit of London. I slept beautifully because it was so quiet and peaceful. thank you and I hope to be able to stay again. Alizon

Had a great weekend in London, thanks! Bathroom great, newly refurbished, the room is ok. Very well located, just 5 min walk to the underground "Chalk Farm".

Meine Tochter und ich haben ein "renoviertes Zimmer" gebucht. Bei der Ankunft waren wir schon vom Äußeren des Hauses entsetzt: ungepflegter Vorgarten, total verrottete Eingangstür und Fassade (im Gegensatz zu allen umliegenden Häusern). Der sehr hilfsbereite Vater von Stella empfing uns und uns wurde von Stella "auf Nachfrage des Vaters NICHT ein gegenüberliegendes (vielleicht renoviertes) Zimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten sondern ein anderes zugewiesen. Das Bett 1.20m breit für 2 Personen, der Plastikschrank hinfällig, Schimmel um das Dachfenster (auch im ganzen Hausflur), schmuddeliger Teppich, defektes Schloß, Kommode mit losen Griffen, ein Fenster, das sich nicht schließen liess (bei 2 Grad), eine Heizung, die nicht funktionierte, ein TV, das nicht funktionierte und schmutzige Wände und Boden. Spinnen im Zimmer und ein Wasserkocher mit ?-alten Wasserresten... jedoch weder Teebeutel noch Kaffee geschweige denn Frühstücksangebot.... TV reklamiert, es wurde ein Kleiderbügel angehängt.... funktionierte aber auch nicht. Stella haben wir einmal kurz gesehen. Das Bad war wohl neu und renoviert jedoch der Toilettensitz lose und p. P. nur 1 Handtuch. Für den Preis von 77,- eine wirkliche Zumutung.

The room was nice and clean. Bathroom is also very clean. Hot water was available at all the time. Bathroom is shared with one more room. The house is really 5 minutes away from Charkl farm station.

To begin, the location near Camden Town and a 2 minutes walk to the underground station Chalk Farm is really nice. However, the accommodation has some points I would like to mention, because they aren’t indicated in the description. You can say something about the small room, but this doesn't matter if you are just there for a short while. But the bed is approx. 120cm width and this is pretty small for two people to sleep in. The room has two windows, and one of them has no curtains, so the room will be bright early in the morning. The third thing I would like to mention is the heating, this can’t be turned off for the room ...1 = maximum & 7 = maximum...so we had to leave the window open all the time. Not a big problem, but when we told the host about it...he didn't understand and told us that the heating is all automatic . (Stella wasn't there that weekend) And the last, but for me the most important thing I didn't know was the sharing of the bathroom with another room. For me personally, this wasn't what I expected and if I see all kind of hairs on the ground from people I don't know...it's not really how it should be.

Super petite chambre, idéal pour un séjour agréable dans la capitale anglaise ! A 5min du métro de Chalk Farm dans un quartier calme et riche.

Wir wurden nett und freundlich empfangen. Das Zimmer ist ausreichend groß, das Bett für zwei Personen etwas schmal. Das neu renovierte Bad teilt man sich mit den Bewohnern des zweiten Zimmers, es wird regelmäßig gereinigt, ist allerdings etwas beengt. Die Lage ist super, sehr schöne Straße, viele Frühstücksmöglichkeiten in der Nähe, Camden Market fußläufig, nicht weit zur U-Bahn, zentral und ruhig gelegen.

Wir verbrachten 5 Nächte bei Stella und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Ein einfaches kleines Zimmer. Dusche/Badewannr/Toilette teilt man sich mit dem Mieter des zweiten Zimmers, dass Stella vermietet. Zur Tube sind es 2-3 Minuten zu laufen, 10-15 Minuten zum Camden Market. Super gelegen!
