SunBird, Sunny Apt in Quiet Street

This is a lovley spacious apartment with big windows so would have been nice and bright if the sun had shone for us! The bedroom is very big so plenty of space for us and small child (a cot was provided for us) without feeling cramped. Kitchen well equipped for self- catering with all kinds of pans, dishes etc.The hosts were very thoughtful in having some milk, cheese, coffee etc ready for us to use on arrival and also coming back with some toys for our little girl to play with. Steep narrow stairs were a little awkward (but normal for Amsterdam) and it felt a bit strange having bathroom outside the front door! However the bathroom isn't shared and we never actually saw anyone else come past. The street is indeed surprisingly quiet for somewhere so near central Amsterdam and the tram stop is a very short walk away.

We really had a good time and the place where we stayed felt like a home and that's what we loved it's a great atmosphere. Everything was prepard for us, their was even some milk and cheese in the fridge already and the best have been the great holland bicycles, we really enjoyed the cycle and have been happy we didn't need to take the tram. Well, definately we will come back to Amsterdam and stay in Sunbird @ Simon's and Gisele. Thank you again for your lovely welcome.

Nice & cosy apartment in very convenient location. Large street market, tram stations on your doorstep. Nice place to return to after a long day in Amsterdam. Very friendly host. Thanks, Simon, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Wir haben uns in Simons Appartement sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war rustikal eingerichtet, zweckmäßig und sehr sauber. Das Zimmer war absolut ruhig und hatte ein riesiges komfortables Bett. Zum Frühstück war für alles perfekt gesorgt. Dusche und Toilette standen uns allein zur Verfügung. Auch der Ausblick in die Hinterhofgärten war eine Idylle. Das schmale holländische Treppenhaus ist allerdings eine "Herausforderung". Der Preis erscheint für das Appartement etwas zu hoch. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

we had a very nice time at simons appartment in amsterdam, .. it was located in a very nice part of the city - central - but not too central, .. it was decorated very nicely and with great taste, .. very well taken care of as well .. the breakfast options were quite something, as we already had cheeses, eggs, milk and oranges in the fridge - and the morning snack was something we really looked forward to every day ... also simon is a very nice guy who always seems to have some nice non-touristy ideas up his sleave .. thanks for having us!

we felt like home! cosy room in very good location. everything easy to reach by foot or bike. also the tram station is just around the corner. the hosts are very friendly and helpful. breakfast was also great.supermarkets and albert cuyp market around the corner. perfect for your stay in amsterdam! we will definitely come again!

Prijskwaliteitverhouding is onvoldoende. Verouderde kamer. Fietsen handig. Ontbijt sober.

Wer zentral in Amsterdam wohnen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Alle Wege waren mit den Fahrrädern gut zu erreichen. Geschmackvoll eingerichtetes und sauberes Zimmer zum wohlfühlen. Für das Frühstück war alles da, vom Orangensaft über Brot und Kaffee bis zum tollen Käse.

It was a perfect stay in this nice and cosy place. The room is lovely done up and had everything what we needed (for example even a hairdryer and toothpaste!). The offer with the bikes was great and we had a good time exploring Amsterdam by bike.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans la grande chambre de Simon et Gisèle. Leur accueil était chaleureux, ils nous avaient déjà donné des conseils/renseignements par mail auparavant et sur place ils en ont encore ajouté. La chambre spacieuse au 3è étage (attention, escalier un peu raide) correspond exactement au descriptif, pas de surprise, petit-déjeuner copieux, rue calme, très centrale, tout est accessible facilement en vélo ou à pied. Les vélos mis à notre disposition nous ont permis de circuler partout en ville et dans les parcs et de nous fondre dans le flot des très nombreux cyclistes locaux.
