My flat is an immaculately presented non smoking flat in a modern apartment complex. You can benefit from the shared use of the kitchen between the hours of 7am till 10pm. This is for the preparation of light meals and hot/cold drinks. You will have full use of the utensils and crockery etc. The apartment is gas centrally heated throughout and double glazed. All bed linen & towels are provided for your stay.
The flat also benefits from a fantastic location; the area is quite and well sought after. The flat is tucked away from main roads, and yet is only a 10 minute walk to the city centre, 5 minutes if you travel by bus or car. It is also very close to all major bus routes to the city attractions, so getting around is very simple! In the local area you will also find everything you need for a great stay; there are cafes, shops, takeaways, and restaurants all within a short walk! Also, if you are travelling further afield, it is only a 15 minute walk to Edinburgh's train station. Edinburgh, and the rest of Scotland is on your doorstep!
So come on, feel comfortable where you are very welcome.
From the Airport you can get a blue Airlink bus into the city centre, they depart every 10 min, from outside domestic arrivals at stand 19. The cost of a single fare is £3.50 for a single journey or £6.00 for an open return ticket. You must have the exact money as no change will be given by the driver. The journey time into the city centre is 30 minutes. You want to get off the bus on Princes Street at the NEXT clothing store. Then walk a few feet to the next bus stop outside Russel & Bromley shoe shop. From here you can take a number of buses.
The number 4, 15, 26, and 44 will drop you off at Brunton Place bus stop on London Road. The journey time approx 10min and the cost £1.40, again have the correct money. When alighting from the bus at Brunton Place bus stop, walk in the same direction as the bus and take the first road on the left, it is called Easter Road and walk down and take the take the 3rd road on the left, which is Brunswick Road, walk a few hundred metres and no 31 is on the right hand side, directly opposite Abbeyhill Baptist Church. The walk from the bus stop is 2-3 min.
At no. 31 Brunswick Road and when you are at the entrance door press 1 then 0 on the intercom and then you must then press the call button. I will let you in and meet you in the hallway.
Alternatively you can take a number 1 bus, from the same bus stop on Princes Street and it will take you down Easter Road and costs £1.40. Ask the driver to let you of at the Brunswick Road bus stop. Again the journey time will take about 10 -12 min. When getting off the bus walk in the same direction as the bus is going and Brunswick Road is the first on the left. Walk a few hundred metres and no 31 is on the right hand side, directly opposite Abbeyhill Baptist Church. The walk from the bus stop is approx 30 seconds to 1min.
At no. 31 Brunswick Road and when you are at the entrance door press 1 then 0 on the intercom and then you must then press the call button. I will let you in and meet you in the hallway. . .
Another alternative from the Airport is to take a Lothian Transport Number 35 bus, this will cost you £1.40 and you must have the exact fare as change will not be given.
The No.35 bus leaves from the Airport about every 12 minutes through the day and every 3 mins past and 33mins past the hour after 8pm, the last bus leaves at 23.03. The journey time on the bus will be one hour. Some guests have reported that the journey time in rush hour can take an hour and a half, particularly in Friday's rush hour traffic.
Ask the driver to let you off at the Brunswick Road bus stop, which is the second bus stop on Easter Road. when you get off the bus, walk in the same direction the bus is going and Brunswick Road is the first road on your left.
From the bus stop to the apartment is about a one minute walk, the number of the apartment block is 31 Brunswick Road and when you are at the entrance door press 1 then 0 on the intercom and you must then press the call button. I will let you in and meet you in the hallway.
House rules£4.00 for each single use of washing machine.
Please be respectful of the space, Guests have access to the kitchen from 7am till 10pm for the preparation of light meals only. Please wash and dry any crockery or utensils afterwards and put them back where you found them. Please do not leave these on the draining board of the sink.

Reviews of this property
Perfect. Tasteful and clean room with separate bathroom. The City Center is within walking distance. Tom is a nice guy. He gave us some good hints about restaurants, street food and the german comedy ambassador. We would love to come back.
I was at Tom's house for a week and the stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. Tom is an agreeable and friendly landlord, with which conversations were very funny and interesting, especially for the cultural aspects who allowed me to learn more habits and customs of the Scottish people.
Tom's house, close to city center, is clean, tidy, warm and confortable, and the orange room also.
You feel at home.
I highly recommend staying at Tom's house, whom I greet affectionately and thank you again for supporting in the improvement of my English language.
Tom, is a charming and very friendly, everything was great, the room very comfortable, spacious and clean. Friendly family run.

Great! Many thanks to Tom!
Everything was perfectly prepared for our stay: bed, towels, bathroom, kitchen. The apartment resides not far away from the city centre. One can walk to the main railway station in 15-20 minutes.
The landlord is a very friendly and companionable person. We really enjoyed our short trip to Scotland!
We had a really good stay in Toms apartment. The apartment was clean and cosy, and our bed was extremely comfortable. Tom wasn't home the weekend we stayed so unfortunately we weren't able to meet him but he was still a very good host by letting me know in advance and making sure he had a friend check us in. Even though Tom wasn't home he was still very easy to get in contact with and very helpful. Toms house was in a great location and only about a 10 minute bus drive to the main city!
We forgot to rate our stay when we where there, but since we really enjoyed our time we make good for it one year later. Everything was tidy and Tom has been very accommodating. We really recommend it to everyone.
