Chinatown-North Beach Apartment

Great apartment ,spacious,clean and modern. Welcoming and helpful host who goes beyond. Fantastic Free TV options and Internet access (both WIFI and Mac). Having access to the blocks cheap washing machine and dryer a huge bonus. Location is perfect to walk to town or fisherman s wharf area also the fabulous restaurants and cafes of Little Italy are literally across the street. But being close to the action has it's down side.. Noise at all hours from karaoke bar and delivery trucks .Also a street light outside your bedroom window.Rick has tried to mitigate these negatives with earplugs and blinds but it is ever present. We had a great time in San Fransico ,would definitely recommend a stay here.

Stayed in apartment one week over the new year. Rick was a very good and patient host. I will recommend this place and will stay when again in SF. The location is perfect for walking to many areas.

We stayed in Rick's apartment for a few nights recently. It was beyond what we had hoped for. Rick met us after a delayed flight and could not have been more helpful with local knowledge and tips on what to do. the accommodation is exactly as the photos show, it's warm and welcoming. Only small issue is the noise at night, but if you are staying in Chinatown, what else would you expect? (and Rick kindly supplies earplugs for exactly this reason). Highly recommended!

Lovely apartment with everything you need. We stayed with two children and it was nice to spread out rather than be in a hotel. Chinatown is a good area, safe and easy compared to some parts of San Fran. It was noisy, but we were so tired it didn't keep us awake. Very well maintained and decorated, quite lovely.

Positives: Lovely apartment, very comfortably and tastefully decorated. All the facilities you could need, including small touches such as pc access, earplugs, etc that make a difference. Close to the action, and easy to get around city as a central location. Lots of takeaways, etc near by, as well as supermarkets. Accessing, key collection, etc was very easy, and no problems at all. Negatives: Right in the middle of Chinatown so very noisy at times - not to be chosen if you want a quiet break. That said, owner had supplied ear plugs, and if you like that feeling of being in the thick of it it's a great place. Overall: Had a great time. Suited our needs very well. Would stay again. Perfekte Unterkunft. Mitten im Leben. Alles gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Sowohl der Hafen mit den Piers als auch Downtown, jeweils nur ca. 1 Meile. Perfekt. Zimmer sauber und sehr gemütlich. Sehr gute Tipps von Rick bezüglich Fahrradverleih, Essen gehen, Kneipen etc. Jedereit gerne nochmal.

The apartment was just as it appeared on the web - newly refurbished with good quality linen & furnishings. It was very clean, with all required amenities including access to a laundry. The amenities of an apartment were greatly appreciated after many nights in hotel rooms! The location is convenient if one is comfortable with an edge of Chinatown location. Rick was very helpful & obliging, meeting us after 9pm with the key.

We had a very nice and pleasant stay in San Francisco and the appartment is a very good place to stay. I highly recommend it.
