Lovely sunny studio in Canal Saint Martin

This was a very nice place to stay for a weekend. It's a small, comfortable and clean apartment with a small bathroom, small kitchen and a nice view over the rooftops of Paris. The next station is 8-10 minutes by foot and surrounded by interesting cafés and shops. Everything went uncomplicated and I would definetely recommend and visit again - thanks!

In a nutshell: lovely little pad but the hosts' sense of responsibility leaves a lot to be desired. Let's start from the positives. If you're looking for a charming little love nest in the heart of Belleville, this is it: a truly authentic piece of Paris. The only downside is the age of building: floorboards are really old and the exterior wall has water damage (mould in kitchen and living room), so if you have any chronic respiratory illnesses or/and allergies, it's best to play it safe and choose another property. But as far as the actual flat is concerned, there are no other major issues that haven't been mentioned in other reviews. Then the negatives. The communication from the hosts' side was extremely poor; what was particularly disappointing was the fact that although we emailed them 3 times (first 3 months, then 2 weeks prior to our arrival), they only responded after we sent a cancellation request to Wimdu (i.e. when Wimdu cracked the whip and the hosts realized they were running a risk of losing money). Nowhere in the world have we paid for an accommodation and waited for a confirmation for 3 months. It's really simple: either you are in business or not - you can't have your cake and eat it too.

The photos you provided (including the St Martin Canal which is nowhere visible from the flat) were deliberately misleading. I took photos as evidence to support my complaint. I spoke to another owner in the your building whose apartment was much better who charge e50 Remedy: Refund 106 aus dollars for second night and apologise for the sub-standard state of the accommodation. Ein sehr schönes Zimmer in einem ruhigen Innenhof, Einkaufsmöglichkeit direkt um die Ecke, und zur Metro ist es auch nicht weit. Alles tiptop!

The nice little apartment had everything I needed. Good communication with the host. Nothing was complicated. The area is nice, the city easy to reach. The room is very quiet even though in a lively neighborhood.

Alexandre und Cécile haben uns freundlich empfangen und ihr Zimmer sehr unkompliziert überlassen. Das kleine Studio liegt in einem interessanten Stadtteil und durch die Hinterhoflage auch sehr ruhig.

Petit studio sympa. J'ai été agréablement surprise de l'environnement très calme. Belle ambiance. Merci encore à Alexandre de son accueil.
