Barcelona Room next to La Rambla

The best thing about this apartment was the location, which was very convenient for sight-seeing, visiting the beach, shops etc. A number of problems occurred during our stay. The air conditioning unit was not fitted correctly and after being on for a period, water poured out from it onto the floor. We decided that it was okay to use and the room would have got unbearably hot without it so we placed a bucket underneath and kept emptying it every now and then! The kitchen was very dirty and some of the electrical sockets were not working. We washed everything before using it. The fridge was clean enough but there was an instance where our milk was taken by mistake. By far the worst problem was the fact that Ricardo and a young man who was perhaps his son had prolonged arguments and Ricardo's voice was extremely loud - he was shouting manically and swearing in Catalan - it sounded very aggressive and went on most of the night and early next morning on one occasion. I can speak Spanish, and spoke to Ricardo telling him it was not acceptable, which he understood although he only seems to speak Catalan. After that the noise level was a little better but not much, and the shouting really upset my wife. It was not a relaxing place to stay because of that. in addition, Ricardo had a study next to our bedroom and he was talking and shouting loudly on the phone for long periods of time - again, not peaceful. The dogs were nice little dogs, but admittedly the hallway did smell very strongly of dogs and there were lots of dog hairs around in the air and on surfaces.

De locatie is heel ideaal gelegen nabij metro, haven en ramblas. Je moet even naar boven klimmen om er te komen (en er zijn twee nummers 27 naast elkaar, je moet de linker hebben; huisnummers staan boven de deuren ipv ernaast). Ricardo is heel vriendelijk maar heeft idd zoals eerder vermeld honden, wel vijf en die komen niet buiten waardoor het echt niet lekker ruikt, ook in de kamer zelf niet. Ik heb zelfs op een ochtend hondenpoep in zijn appartement zien liggen wat er in de middag nog lag. Heel vies.

Die Lage des Zimmers ist wirklich optimal, denn die U-Bank-Station "Drassanes" ist in wenigen Schritten erreichbar. Bis zur Ramblas und Ramblas del Mar ist es nur ein paar Schritte und es ist trotz zentraler Lage mit dem Fenster nach hinten (in einen Innenhof mit Sicht auf eine Häuser-/Fensterwand) sehr ruhig. Negativ ist, dass die Wohnung im 4. OG ohne Aufzug ist und die Zimmerwände wirklich hauchdünn sind, sodass man wirklich jedes Geräusch aus den Nachbarzimmern hört (sehr häufige Telefonate und lauter Fernseher). Der Fernseher empfängt leider nur spanische Fernseh- und Radioprogramme. Die Wohnung riecht wirklich sehr nach den sehr süßen Hunden und erscheint doch etwas heruntergekommen. Das Zimmer ist aber sauber, obwohl auch dort natürlich nach oben noch etwas Potential wäre (Spinnweben an Decken und Wänden und ein "abgefallener" Türrahmen, der lose neben dem Kleiderschrank steht).

Muy bien ubicado para llegar a los lugares turisticos, la habitacion super buena, reconmendable!! Ricardo es muy acogedor y sociable, muy atento y servicial! Los tips de Ricardo muy buenos tambien: "Vayan donde no hayan muchos gringos" jeje. Hasta la proxima!

Ricardo was a very nice host. The apartment was exactly as it looked like in the pictures, and it was well cleaned. But if youre allergic to dogs, this is not the place for you. The location couldn't be better!! Within walking distance to most of barcelonas have to's.

Ricardo was friendly but didn't speak any English. Like stated before the entrance and hall does smell like dogs.(5) The room didn't though. It is in a good location to tour Barcelona or use to stay before a cruise.The room was a little smaller than expected and the bracket that held the shower head to the wall was broken so you had to hold it and take a shower. Beware!! This is an extra room in a private residence. The first night about 11:00 pm we where awoken by to men yelling at one another (one of them was Ricardo) thought this was just a coincident. Then then it happened again around 11:00pm the second night.Also heard people coming and going, talking , opening and closing doors until 4:00am in the morning. To me it is not worth the money I spent to stay. If all of the commotion happen earlier the second day we would have left an stayed somewhere else. So consider all the reviews before you decide!!!!!!!!

La camera è pulita e confortevole. Ricardo è simpatico e amichevole. Il posto è veramente strategico e centrale, ci si sposta con facilità verso tutti i punti importanti della città. Consigliata solo agli amanti dei cani ;)

Un anfitrion realmente muy simpatico, amable y sonriente, quien tiene perritos exquisitos. Habitacion conforme con las fotographias, muy linda y propia, con una ubicacion perfecta. Lo recomiendo totalmente ! Ricardo est un hôte très sympathique, souriant et accueillant, qui a d'adorables petits chiens. La chambre correspond exactement à la description du site, propre et parfaitement située pour visiter Barcelone, à seulement quelques pas du métro et de la Rambla. Je recommande complètement ce logement.
