The Red Rooms is a gorgeous 2 bedroom apartment perched on the first floor of the Eco Garden and is accessed by a charming bridge through the tree tops from the street.
Nestled in the leafy quiet end of Hall Street in the heart of Bondi Beach, the eco garden apartments provide the ideal blend of privacy and community. The industrial styled kitchen features a combination of bamboo hardwood, re-purposed machining bench and stainless steel wash area. Four burner hob and huge convection microwave provide enough cooking firepower for even the most ambitious holiday chef.
Natural organic finishes are used throughout, inc polished wooden floors, beautiful 20th Century modern furniture and custom re-purposed and design objects. All of this adds to the character and sense of consideration that permeates the apartment.
The north facing master bedroom has views of the eco garden and includes an amazing queen sized bed made from reclaimed timbers. The second bedroom is even larger and includes a massive skylight to let the morning sun in and a queen bed. All linen is certified organic from local Australian manufacturers.
The combined kitchen and entertaining area is perhaps the best part of the apartment and enjoys the afternoon summer sun across a huge bank of south facing windows. Open them for the refreshing beach cross-breeze and enjoy the native trees and expansive open space the rear of the property has to offer.
The front garden is home to ornamental ferns, birds of paradise and a vegetable garden which you are welcome to farm for your meals. A large permaculture garden is underway at the rear of the property including our newest guests, 5 Rhode Island Red hens who lay delicious fresh eggs for you to enjoy for breakfast. Private benches in the garden provide further opportunity to spend some time alone and you may even get a chance to talk to the Rosellas and other birds who have made the garden their home.
Venturing out to Bondi's buzzing cafes and small bars takes all of a couple of minutes and the beach is only a further 5 minutes away. After the beach grab your racquet and enjoy a game of tennis at the wonderful courts adjoining the property, or stroll across a block and catch the bus service into the city.
