Description
Your accommodation is a very nice apartment newly renovated in August 2011 located near the University Hospital Charité Campus and the Beuth University in the former working class district of Wedding and today's Mitte district.
The apartment has a living room and a bedroom, a fully furnished kitchen, a bathroom with a shower as well as a balcony. As sleeping options a double bed (150x200 cm) with a cold foam mattress with a hardness of 3 in the bedroom and a sofa bed (140x200 cm) with a latex futon mattress with a hardness of 2 in the living room are available. The apartment is located on the fourth floor of the front house (without an elevator unfortunately) of an old building built in the Gründerzeit around 1905 with high ceilings and partially preserved stucco.
Your accommodation is off the beaten track right in the neighborhood of Sprengelkiez.
In the immediate vicinity there is a small park with adjoining playground, several shopping facilities for daily needs as well as pubs and restaurants where you can relax and eat after a busy day. Whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner - hunger and thirst can be appeased either in one of the diners nearby (Thai, Vietnamese, Italian, Turkish), in the "Deichgraf", a traditional old Berlin corner pub with adjoining beer garden, in the "Auszeit" or in the more dignified "Fünfundsechzig" which has a fireplace.
It is centrally located with easy access to public transport by bus, underground and city train (S-Bahn), to the main station, the motorway A 100 and Tegel airport. Zoologischer Garten and Kurfürstendamm can be reached with the underground line U9 and the main station by bus 147 - all can be reached directly within ten minutes travelling time. You can get to Friedrichstraße, Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Market by using the U6 or U8 and you have to change trains one time. Those who are not afraid of walking can walk along the north shore to the art museum Hamburger Bahnhof, the Reichstag and the Chancellery within 30 minutes.
