2 Bed House in Cool Neighbourhood

We had a wonderful time in Shellie's pretty and very comfortable apartment. Cukurcuma is a totally charming neighbourhood with endless antique shops, cafes, restaurants and places worth visiting like the Museum of Innocence. Shellie's recommendations were also great - specifically the Journey and Savoy restaurants. Overall, it was an exhilarating experience.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang durch die Gastgeberin Shellie. Alles hat bestens geklappt. Die Wohnung ist super ruhig und doch zentral gelegen. Hübsche Wohung auf drei Etagen, alles ist vorhanden und alle technischen Einrichtungen funktionierten bestens. Neben dem sehr geräumigen Hauptschlafzimmer ist das zweite Zimmer im Erdgeschoss eher klein. Die Strassenlaterne spendet etwas grosszügig Licht in die beiden Schlafzimmer. Wir haben den Aufenthalt mit unseren beiden Töchtern in der geschmackvoll eingerichteten Wohnung in der angenehmen Gegend sehr genossen. Wir können die Wohnung wirklich weiterempfehlen. A wonderful island in a vibrant quarter. Perfect organization, bright and clean rooms, good documents and guides about Istanbul. A place to come back.

We had a great time in Istanbul. We did not meet Shellie in person, but her business partner. She was very nice and helpful. When we had a power failure she called an electrian, and he was there within 5 minutes. We found the house comfortable and sufficiently clean. However, if you are sensitive to smell you won't feel too well there. In the bathroom the odour trap is not working properly. What also might be of interest for other guests is this: there are two bedrooms in the house, one in the basement and the other one on the first floor. The bedroom on the first floor is the master bedroom; it has a king-size bed and is tastefully furnished. The bedroom in the basement is sparse, though. A queen-size bed is squeezed into a corner with two very small windows at the front end. So if you stay in the house as a foursome you will probably want to toss for the bedrooms. At least this is what we did. However, we were happy in Shellie's house. It is perfectly locoated in a very charming area of Istanbul, with lots of restaurants and antique shops just around the corner, and it really invites you to feel at home.

Estupendo apartamento. No le falta detalle ni en equipamiento (cocina, wifi, etc) ni en confortabilidad (toallas, camas, etc). Está muy bien situado y no hay ni ruido por las noches ni peligrosidad. Gran recibimiento por parte de Shellie (se ve que está muy acostumbrada a tratar con clientes de todo el mundo).

Sono stato veramente bene nella casa di Shellie. Lei è stata molto gentile e cortese. La casa confortevole. Nel quartiere di Beyoglu ci sono molti negozi antiquari, a due passi dalla nota piazza Taksim, e vicino alla fermata del tram che, superato il ponte di Galata, conduce alle moschee, al gran bazar e al mercato delle spezie.

Merci à Shellie, Shellie est vraiment très sympathique et de très bons conseils, et très disponible, et si souriante. Sa maison est très agréable, un petit "bémol" la literie est très dure, pour ceux qui aiment c'est parfait. Le quartier est bien situé, au calme auprès des Antiquaires. Beaucoup de place pour quatre. Nous avons beaucoup aimé Istanbul, mais pour vous imprégner de cette ville, n'hésitez pas à beaucoup marcher.

Wir haben uns sehr um den herzlichen Empfang gefreut und uns im Haus und in Istanbul sehr wohl gefühlt Wir kommen bestimmt noch einmal wieder. Liebe Grüße Klaus Müller

Ein wirklich charmantes Häuschen! Und perfekt gelegen, super organisiert. Einziger Nachteil: bei Schlechtwetter mieft es ein bisschen im unteren Schlagzimmer.

Das Haus war wie beschrieben und in einem lebendigen Viertel gelegen. Die Orientierung ist nicht ganz einfach. In der Regel finden die Taxifahrer diese Adresse nicht ohne Nachfragen. Die Absprachen mit den Vermieter sind absolut verlässlich. Wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen. Empfehlenswert! Günther
