We were delighted with our stay at Teresa and her husband! They were very friendly and helped us a lot to visit Ireland. Despite the language barrier we enjoyed to have met. We will come back again if we return to Ireland!
Teresa and Hugh were very friendly, warm and welcoming. Even when we arrived late in the evening after we took the wrong bus! Apparently the bus drivers get confused when you ask for Beaumont avenue, so perhaps for future guests it would be better if they also specify that it's in Dundrum, southbound. Anyway, Teresa and Hugh were also very helpful in providing a simple map of the area and recommending good things to see, especially the flight fest which we really enjoyed! The cottage is very nice and cosy with a great view of the garden from the kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay and maybe we'll cross paths again! Prit and Franzi
This has been our first Wimdu experience and we´ve been very pleasantly surprised. Teresa and her husband are excellent hosts, we enjoyed little talks with them and had an excellent time. Be prepared not to be in a hurry if there´s a queue in front of the (nice and clean) bathroom.
Our room was very nice, there ´s been even a heatable kind of matress (which we did not use) but which might be of use in colder months. Our room was a little bit clammy (probably not that much damp-proofing in an older house) but Teresa allowed us to put our towels on the washing line in the garden, she even took them in when we went away and it started to rain, how´s that for service ? :)
All in all a very enjoyable stay, highly recommended !
We went to Teresa because she's got so good reviews. We were indeed welcome and got a lot of useful information. The beds were good and clean and the towels. The website contains some pictures of a living room and kitchen. Teresa and Hugh live in the house and the pictures of their living room and kitchen. You can have breakfast in the kitchen in the morning and have to arrange everything. The breakfast was very meager. The only bread was that there was to make bread. Toast So no homemade bread oid They rent three rooms. In the worst case, you share the bathroom with 6 guests and Hugh and Teresa herself. Also the only toilet in the house is in the bathroom. We, and two German guests who stayed there found the house clean. We had to wash and dry themselves, but the dry cloths were in the 4 days we stayed there dirty and were not replaced. The garden and the seat could use some maintenance. It is certainly not expensive accommodation. We were not expecting luxury, but it does still to be. Not dirty
Dus geen zelfgebakken brood o.i.d.
We stayed 12 nights, and had a lovely holiday. Teresa and Hugh are very good hosts and are ready to provide good and useful information so you can have have a good holiday. The atmosphere in the house is relaxed and it is perfectly located for a holiday in Dublin city combined with trips to the Wicklow mountains. Public transport are easily done with bus just outside the house or 15 mins. walk to the LUAS-tram.
We stayed with Teresa for 3 nights while in Dublin. Teresa was very nice and helpful if we had any questions. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. Teresa's house is approximately a 10 minute walk to the LUAS station and from there it takes about 10-15 minutes to get into the heart of Dublin.
I totally forgot to review my stay!
I stayed with Teresa and her family when I came to Ireland in January as an exchange student and, oh I loved them very much! Teresa is such a nice and good person, she welcomed me, took care of me and the whole family tried to help me with finding a place to stay. The house was very cosy, lovely and clean and I felt very comfortable there! :)
Teresa and her husband are heartily, loving and helpful persons. The house is fitted out prettily. I have felt very well. The connection to the town was attainable well with the bus 14 or with Luas. By Luas you walk 10 minutes.Thank you very much.
It was a warm and helpful hospitality we have enjoyed! Thank you! Alexandra and Ramona!
