Loft on the River Douro, Porto

We had four nights in the loft apartment. Paula was there to meet us and show us around the apartment, and had thoughtfully provided basic food for a snack and breakfast - as well a decanter of port! Local shops were not too easy to find so this was very helpful. The apartment is exactly as it looks in the photos - right on the water, lots of restaurants and action very close at hand, yet as quiet as our rural home. The apartment is spotless and very well equipped. Views by day and night kept us on the balcony, and it was amazing to wake up to the view every morning. We would love to return to Porto - but only if we could stay at the loft, as anywhere else would be a disappointment. We will recommend it to all our friends.

Ficamos 2 noites, estava tudo perfeito. Fomos muito bem recebidos pelos proprietários e com direito a um welcome drink de vinho do Porto. Muito bem localizado, central e com uma maravilhosa vista de Rio. O apartamento recentemente remodelado está decorado com muito bom gosto. Excelente escolha.

We would highly reccommend Porto as a destination to travel too and Paula's apartment as the ideal base. The city makes for fascinating exploring and I can't think of a city that is more genuinely friendly and welcoming. The apartment is in a great location and is full of character. Much bigger than it looks in the pictures. Paula's was most helpful and we could want for nothing more. Thank You Porto and Thank You Paula.

The personal touches Paula added made the visit especially memorable, we felt we were truly house guests in Paula's home, instead of staying in a rental that lacked basic features and standards. The loft more than lived up to the description and photos, and we recommend it unreservedly.

Nuestra estancia en Oporto ha sido maravillosa. Mis amigas y yo quedamos encantadas. El apartamento de Paula, cumplió con todas nuestras expectativas, Muy bien ubicado, amplio, luminoso y muy confortable. Paula es una anfitriona excelente, nos recibió en su casa con un vino de oporto buenísimo!! Nos dejó compra para nuestro primer día, nos explico que poder ver, dónde comer bien y nos dejo guías y planos para no perdernos en la ciudad. Gracias Paula por ser tan encantadora, Tu casa es un capricho.

An excellent place to stay, well situated, magnifiscent view. Very spacious and very clean. The hosts are charming people and welcomed us very warmly. A loft we recommand.

We have had a super stay in this appartment which is tastefully decorated by Paula and contains beautiful artworks by her artist husband Luis. A welcoming porto drink was greatly appreciated. The view from the French windows at the river Douro and the opposite riverside is never tiring and always fascinating both by day and by night. It is situated in a superb location in the center of Porto as many of our predecessors have already mentioned, and in this lovely city we have visited practically everything that was recommended. Incredably friendly and kind people, the Portugese!

We felt like home from the very first moment. Paula gave us a very warm and kind welcome, an emergeny food" basket, good tips about places to visit, and other vey helpful information. The loft is a great space, modern minimalistic, beautiful view across the Douro, and a very central location. We greatly enjoyed Porto thanks to Paula and her loft. Thank you again!

Absolutely delightful, this apartment was spacious, clean and the beds were so very comfortable. View was exceptional and location perfect for sightseeing and relaxing by the river in any of the many restaurants and bars. The restaurant next to this apartment makes the most delicious pudding, chocolate fondant!. Paula you get 10 out of 10 for this apartment, thank you.
