Description

Compact, smartly laid out studio apartment in the heart of the historic centre, with everything for a comfortable stay. From wireless internet and iPod connection to the stereo to a floor heated bathroom and a complete kitchen (inc dishwasher, washer dryer).

The studio is located on the ground floor (three steps down from street level) of this merchant house "De Korenbloemen," built in 1605.

Everything of interest is within a mile radius from the apartment. You will find the Hermitage, the Rembrandt House, the Opera, Dam Square and Central Station in the direct vicinity. The apartment is the Amsterdam city center. In Amsterdam’s Centrum you will of course find the magnificent canals, but there is so much more besides. The inner city, for instance, is bursting with interesting museums, sometimes hidden behind beautiful canal-side façades. The area around the Dam and Niewmarkt and through the neighbourhood known as De Wallen (Red Light District) is the oldest part of the city. On Dam Square the Royal Palace and Madame Tussauds’ Museum are located. In the Centrum the most commercial street, Kalverstraat, is located where you can do trendy clothing shopping.

The Centrum is easily accessible of foot and by public transportation. From Central Station it is only a 10 minute walk to the main square. Additionally, from Central Station, tram lines 1 and 2 can take you to Leidseplein (the party area), trams 5 and 24 can take you to the Museum Quarter, and trams 4 and 16 can take you to the Heineken Experience Museum and Albert Cuypern Market (the biggest Amsterdam’s outdoor market).

You will be refunded half of the booking amount if you cancel the booking at least 7 days before check-in (by 12 noon, local time). For cancellations that are made less than 7 days before check-in, you will be refunded 5%* of the booking amount. Please note that the Wimdu service charge of 12% is non-refundable.

Example

If the guest pays a total amount of €112 and cancels more than 7 days prior to check-in, they would receive a refund of €50. If the guest cancels less than 7 days prior to check-in, they would receive €5.

*Subject to proof by the guest that the host has experienced significantly less economic damage than the compensation granted by the cancellation policy. Economic damage to the host might be reduced by cost savings; for example, if the space in question is left vacant, or if the space is rented out to someone else after the cancellation.
