Unique 15th Century House
The house is built on the site of a 10th century chateau belonging to the Counts of March. It boasts spectacular views over the Vincou Valley. There is a small, walled terrace to the rear of the building offering wonderful views over the Vincou Valley and the railway viaduct. A patio set for 7 people is provided.
The furniture is mainly antique, with a mix of contemporary and historical art. It can accommodate 7 people in 4 bedrooms. One bedroom includes a lit-clos (enclosed bed) to provide a sleeping experience reminiscent of olden times. The living room and kitchen look into one another and include seating, a fireplace and cooking appliances.
Various restaurants and cafes can be found on the surrounding streets. A selection of shops, including 3 supermarkets, are also closeby. There is a train station 10 minutes away on foot.
House rulesNo pets.
The neighbors have a key and can let guests in on request.
On arrival, the key will be found in a safe whose code will be supplied on confirmation of booking. Guests are advised to bring a torch, as the exterior of the back of the house is deliberately not illuminated and guests will need to see the stars.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome
Guests may encounter features in the house that deserve due care and attention, particularly for the young, elderly, less mobile or visually impaired. There are, for example, low beams, some low doorways, steep spiral staircases, uneven floors, and there is a big drop behind the house.
