Kolonaki is a wealthy, chic and upmarket district, and a fashionable meeting area. As one of the capital's leading shopping areas, it includes a number of high-end boutiques from young adult to casual fashion to prestigious haute couture from Greek and international designers. One of its main shopping streets, Voukourestiou Street, is now known for its jewellery. Museums and galleries also abound in Kolonaki. The Benaki Museum, inside a preserved neoclassical manor house, and the Goulandris Museum of Cycladic Art and are two of the finest private collections in the country. Two smaller museums to be found in Kolonaki are the Museum of the History of Greek Costume and the Theater Museum, both highly specialized in their respective areas. A walk across the street from Vasilissis Sofias Avenue are the Byzantine Museum, and the War Museum of Athens.
There are a plethora of available options for nightlife, including bars, ouzeries, and tavernas. Outdoor seating on pedestrian walks is typical, creating a lively atmosphere at night. The main Kolonaki Square (with the small column) is surrounded by cafes and restaurants.
The Lycabettus Funicular, a funicular railway, links Kolonaki to the summit of Lycabettus hill. Kolonaki also hosts 2 metro stations, Evengelismos and Megaro Mousikis.

The apartment looks exactly like the photos show. In general it was very tidy, clean and modernly refurbished, although some devices were out of order (oven, half cooker...). We also missed a microwave.
The blinds kept the apartment completely dark at night and only a small and discontinuous sound from the fridge could annoy people with sleep problems. But it was not a problem at all for my fiancée and me.
The only inconvenience we found was the location. The apartment is a bit far from the city centre (45 minutes by walking) and the closest metro station is 10 minutes by walking.
All in all, I would recommend this apartment. However, if I would gone back to Athens I'd try to stay in an apartment better located.
The apartment was very comfortable. It was very accessible and in a great location. I would stay here again with ought a doubt. The only negative comment I could make on the apartment is that the hot water tank was not sufficient for one to wash before running out of hot water. All went well until the morning we had to leave. We were not told that the front building door is bolted at night and therefore when we left to get our taxi at 7am we were locked in. Thankfully the taxi driver helped us by ringing everyones door bell until someone came to help. Otherwise we would have lost our plane. The emergency door leading to the basement was also bolted. Shudder to think what would happen if there was an emergency evacuation scenario. So before vacating the apartment for good please remember to check that the front building door is not bolted shut.
The hotel was great! The area is a bit noisy, but you get used to it, the crowd that had begun at dawn. The beach was close but it was pretty crowded and messy so I had to go out every day can get away from beaches to search. The city, the bazaar is 10 minutes away by car. It was nice but a shame that such garbage, this was a bit dirty there would be observed.
The accommodation, receiving the keys was discussed according to each, it was absolutely fine !!!
The apartment is very good, near the metro that takes you to the center of Athens ... There is a bakery, pharmacy, cafes and a supermarket well next, George proved to be a good person and the next door neighbor has treated us very well and willing any kind of help.
French for "bobo", the place is ideal for the first view (exceptional), then the situation (quiet and 3 minutes walk from "peripatos" path that goes around the Acropolis ). For the hostess Marianne attentive and fluent French. And for "Terrace" surrounded by plants and trees which grow 2 which act as umbrella and a rooftop swimming pool that allows a necessary relaxation after hot days of sightseeing. Our favorite heart of the 5-occupied housing during our stay in Greece (tied with another). Thank you to Marianne.
We stayed at this beautiful apartment and we definitely would repeat. We didnt meet George, but we knew Panos, a great host. It was really beautiful and near Everything (shopping streets, bus stops, taxis, and walking it's 4 km away from the tourist part. Wifi was a little bit bad but we cant find something bad on this apartment. Thank you Panos! ;)
Great place to stay, quiet air conditioning, good location on the marina with an adjoining beach. Recommended!
Prima Unterkunft, leise Klimaanlage, gute Lage an der Marina mit angrenzendem Strand. Empfehlenswert!

Beautiful luxury apartment in rich, luxurious kind baby boomer neighborhood with unfortunately some ants in the kitchen and kakkerlak..was a shock but it remained at that one happy. Stainless steel appliances, except a microwave. Great two air conditioners and ice trays in the freezer, indispensable in the Athens heat. The owner was by George not informed of the time of our arrival, which was confusing for all. George Ws has what many apartments under its management; We have not seen his face IIG. We recommend the owner to leave some information about public transport (tram, metro, bus and taxi) because it takes time to sort out eea. The bakery around the corner is great. Beach is not next door but what stops away with the tram, we had no time for about, so much to see and do in the city :)
We spend one beautiful week in Athens and the appartement in Kallithea provided for all our needs. A little balcony, air-cond., tv, a kitchen and a clean bathroom with washingmachine. The friendly owner was very polite and answered all our questions with a pleasant smile. Close to the appartement you`ll find a lovely bakery, a supermarket, a freddocino coffeshop and the best pita in town! With the bus stopping just in the next street, we could reach either the Akropolis or the beach within 15 min.
BTW: The allready tuned-in radiostation "Pepper 96,6" is fantastic!
