Luxury apt near MRT, Chiang kai Shek sta

DEAR WIMDU, THIS APARTMENT IS TARNISHING YOUR REPUTATION!!! I WILL NOT BOOK A HOTEL FROM YOU AGAIN! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- One of the WORST place I have ever stayed, despite I am a heavy traveler. I only give 0/5 ( I am forced to click on at least one star). I DO NOT WANT ANYMORE VICTIM TO THIS HORRIBLE PLACE. Do not be fooled by the picture on WIMBU. DIRTY - The moment we step in the apartment, we realize the whole room is very dusty on the floor, wall, windows and cabinet. The mattress was placed on the floor, but the corner of the floor, walls and windows where the mattress is placed is filled with dust! I even find spider webs and used cotton buds when I lift up the mattress. Throughout the night me and my mum who slept on the bigger mattress felt itchy on our legs and hands due to dust-mites. The next day we even have to buy Dettol to wipedown the room, and Laundry powder to wash all their bedsheets/pillow cases. We even place their blankets under the bedsheets hoping to prevent more dust-mites bites. BATHROOM: The bathroom is even more horrible. It seems like it has not been cleaned for a long long time: - Stench coming out from around the toilet bowl area - Dark fungus spots on the glass door, - Bath tub has stains all over - Stains all over the corners of the wall and thick layer of dust on the ventilation in bathroom CUPS/Kettle - Dark Stains on the bottom, we dare not use. Go buy water at 7-11. Room - The area is much smaller than what the picture says, though WIMDU deceivingly says it is suitable 4-6. Don't think staying 4-6 people would pass the Fire safety regulation. PLEASE! IF WANT TO EARN MONEY, AT LEAST TAKE CARE OF THE HYGIENE!!!! TO THE OWNER: GO FXXXX YOURSELF!!!

I ended up in one of the many units Lucky Rent has in this building. It was fine, but it wasn't what was pictured. As far as I can tell, there was little to no difference between their various units, so I was upset that I booked one of the more expensive ones. Communication with Lucky was poor via Wimdu, but they were very helpful after I arrived.

Pros: * Excellent location, many nice shops, cafes, restaurants and even a famous club at working distance * Spacious room with cable TV (if it matters to you) * Safe building / area (although safety is not a huge concern in a place like Taipei) Cons * Double check the address provided to you; don't send a message to the company that manages the apartments (e-mailing them is useless), CALL them immediately asking for a confirmation of the address and procedures to check-in (I got in trouble for not doing that) * Got some trouble with my toilet but managed to resolve after a while * It is not exactly a "luxury" apartment, but I can assure you that it is ok (you get what you pay for, not more not less, like most things in life)

Satisfied with what was provided, but location might not be ideal for tourists interested in shopping. Was a rather quiet area, about 5-8 minutes walk from the Taipei City Hall MRT station. Nearby 7-11 outlet (after crossing a junction) an added convenience.

Wonderful house, close to train station and shopping mall, clean and comfortable.
