We rent a nice bedroom for two people with central heating, stereo, wireless internet, a big bed. Sheets, towels & blankets are included. Of course you can use the shared kitchen and the bathroom with shower and sit-bath. It is a very quiet and friendly atmosphere!
The apartment is situated very close to the city center (a 5 minutes’ walk). To the central station you need about 15 minutes by walking or 10 minutes by bus. A tram stop is in front of house (line 10) and the bus stops 3 minutes by walking. Shops are around the corner (2 minute walk) and a night shop open till midnight is just around the corner.
The accommodation is situated in Westerpark where some of the best deals for restaurants, cheap markets, and affordable nightlife can be found. The alternative and punky crowd has popularized the gritty rock bars, cultural clubs, and pool halls scattered around the neighbourhood. Westerpark, on the other hand, draws an up-and-coming crowd of young professionals and is best known for the Westergasfabriek, a vibrant park containing various cafés and clubs. The neighbourhood is also home to a growing underground scene, and features some cool and trendy retro clubs that attract a crowd of creative trendsetters.
The easiest way to get around the area is by taking tram 3 or using the bus system: buses 22 and 18 can take you to Central Station.
