Tower Hamlets is the borough east of central London, with very easy access to the city and central London by tube (Central line, District line and the DLR). There are also plenty of buses and night buses running 24/7 from all directions in London.
It forms the core of the East End, home to a lot of exciting history. Tower Hamlets lies east of the medieval walled City of London. Use of the term "East End" in a pejorative sense began in the late 19th century, as the expansion of the population of London led to extreme overcrowding throughout the area and a concentration of poor people and immigrants in the districts that made it up. It was also in these neighborhoods the infamous Jack the Ripper operated in 1888.
Today Tower Hamlets is a diversified borough of London, and the status has increased a lot over the last decade. This is where you find the amazing Brick Lane market, along with many hip bars. 10 minutes walk from Brick Lane is Shoreditch, which is one of the most popular clubbing areas at the moment.

It is an apartment with 4 rooms which are each double room. It can therefore accommodate up to 8 people there, 1 toilet, 1 bathroom. It was neat and clean, very noisy as the main road. Super bikes since hired on the door to. Price and performance ratio! in 30 minutes in the city! I book again

Es können also bis zu 8 Menschen dort wohnen, 1 Klo, 1 Bad .
Es war ordentlich und sauber, sehr laut, da Hauptstrasse.
Super da Fahrräder direkt vor der Tür zum leihen.

The room as well as the appartment were pretty clean and cosy but the room was very noisy. The host was great, so were the other guests. Nice place to be.
We enjoyed our two nights (11th & 12th June) in Ivanilda's apartment in Commercial Road. The room is beautiful - and (together with the kitchen, bathroom and toilet) are kept spotlessly clean. Owing to double glazing, there was not too much road noise. We should have phoned the previous day to arrange a meeting time for entry into the flat but we gained entry soon enough after phoning the Wimdu customer hotline number. J & F.
At first, the entrance of the building is not really nice, but the room and facilities are very clean. Close to transportation.
It's an appartment with 4 bedrooms in the east of London. If you don't mind sharing facilities with other people, the place is great. It's quite close to the city (by bus or train) with cooking facilities and a balcony. The room is small but clean and has a cosy double bed, towels included, a cabinet, a refrigerator and a televison. If you are sensitive to street noise you should bring ear plugs. The store across the street has everything you need for preparing food and breadfast. I can recommend this place.
The accommodation is well located, 10 minutes walk from Shadwell Station (DLR / Overground) plus a free bike station service just outside the building. The bathrooms are clean, the kitchen is well equipped and the bed is very comfortable. The balcony is nice, especially if you are a smoker. Commercial Road is, however, a way of fairly noisy traffic.
Le logement est bien situé, à 10 minutes à pieds de la station Shadwell (DLR/Overground) avec en plus une station de vélos en libre service juste devant l'immeuble. Les sanitaires sont propres, la cuisine est bien équipée et le lit est très confortable. Le balcon est agréable, d'autant plus si vous êtes fumeur.
Commercial Road est cependant une voie de circulation assez bruyante.
We have had a few wonderful days in London. Partly thanks to this fine residence. Very clean, tidy and very good location close to several public transport connections. We were very kindly received. This address we will remember for sure if we agree in London. Highly recommended.
Wij hebben een paar heerlijke dagen gehad in London. Mede dankzij dit fijne verblijf. Erg schoon, netjes en locatie sluit erg goed aan op diverse openbaar vervoers verbindingen. We werden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen. Dit adres gaan we zeker onthouden voor als we nog eens in London zijn. Echt een aanrader.
The apartment had a very good transport links to the city and all other attractions. It is located in a larger city block and is a short trip to London in order. The room was clean and comfortable.
Die Wohnung hatte eine sehr gute Verkehrsanbindung zur Innenstadt und allen anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Sie liegt in einem größeren Häuserblock und ist für einen Kurztrip nach London in Ordnung. Das Zimmer war sauber und bequem eingerichtet.
The room was clean, and we found the bed very comfortable. I liked the down feather pillows. Room had a fridge, which was convenient for making lunches for work, and Wi-fi was ok too. Generally good.
Only issues: the room faces Commercial Road, and it is very noisy. The shower head was cracked and two streams of water sprayed in opposite directions toward the ceiling. There's not a lot of room in the toilet and shower room, so you had to maneouver a bit.
The flat is very clean and comfortable. Is nearly the DLR station and a lot of bus stops are arround. I really recommend this apartment because the landlord is very friendly and not annoying, they allowed to us to stay 2 more hours after the check out and dont pay nothing.
El apartamento está muy limpio y es cómodo. Está cerca de la estación de DLR y hay muchas paradas de bus alrededor. Recomiendo este apartamento porque el anfitrión es muy amable y no molesta para nada. Nos dejó quedarnos 2h más después del check out sin cobrarnos nada.
