Description
Situated in the Jardin du Luxembourg area, on the very border between the 6th and of the 14th arrondissements of Paris, this vacation rental apartment offers 3 bedrooms on the 3rd French floor (4th American) of an elegant 5-story and very Parisian building. Some parts of this building are truly historic since it was built in the 17th and 18th centuries and include an interesting past, the courtyard used to be stables for instance! Despite this fact, it features modern amenities with an elevator and a digicode security system, and there is the additional benefit of a concierge and only one apartment per floor, giving it a double north and south exposure.
With its hardwood floors, moldings, glass wall, fireplace, and marble bathroom, this vacation rental accommodation definitely evokes an upscale and chic atmosphere in a typically Parisian style. It's modernly furnished with the decoration combining eclectic and "Scandinavian" pieces. All of the three bedrooms can accommodate two guests as the two first are furnished with double beds and the third one has bunk beds. The living-room faces north and overlooks the street through two large windows; it can also be used as a dining area as the separate kitchen features all the major appliances and utensils you might need to cook as well as a dishwasher. The rental also includes Wi-Fi Internet, cable TV and a phone, as well as laundry facilities inside the three bedroom apartment.
At the corner of Rue Boissonade and Boulevard du Montparnasse, you are in the middle of a thoroughfare neighborhood full of worthy attractions. You are a little over a ¼ of a mile away from both the Church of the Val-de-Grâce and Paris' Observatory and its garden, which opens on the famous Jardin and Palais du Luxembourg (actually home to the French Senate!). The Pantheon, where many great French men and women are buried, is less than a mile away, do not hesitate to take a nice walk through the Latin Quarter of Paris to get there and visit it!
The Montparnasse - Alésia neighborhood is very residential but animated and chic, and used to be a really arty one: surrealist painters and cubists like Picasso and Braque lived there, as well as many other artists, writers and intellectuals of the 20th century. It features the main conveniences around the corner or across the street: bakeries, pharmacies, shops and stores and even a local street market. Enjoy the fresh products from Marché Daguerre, located rue Daguerre, just within half a mile radius from your place, every day of the week but Sundays! You are also next to several restaurants recommended by the owners: La Closerie des Lilas, just across the street, La Rotonde, Le Select and La Coupole, found between three and four blocks away from your building's entrance on your very street!
If you need to commute any further in the city or around, the metro lines 4 and 6 at the Raspail station are within a ¼ mile distance from your rental and you can find the RER B just around the corner at the Port- Royal stop, only a 530 feet walk, which is very convenient to reach the Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports.
