Come visit us in Dorchester, one of the oldest communities in Massachusetts, founded in 1630. We're on the border of Milton, with a lovely small harbor at Milton Lower Falls (and a great restaurant 88 Wharf).
The Asian Inspired Room is reflective of our travels to Asia--to Malaysia, and gifts from friends visiting Asia, and original artwork on the wals.
We're in a modern triple decker condo on the first floor. We rent out a total of three rooms, two with shared bath and one with private 1/2 bath. We have an extra laptop to watch Netflix movies if you wish. We also have wireless WIFI throughout the house. If needed, you can use the washer/dryer for a small fee. Finally, we have a deck with gas BBQ grill for your use.
Best thing about our place? The FOOD! Chef Pierre will make you an unforgettable breakfast with homemade yogurt, house-smoked salmon on bagels, crepes or hazelnut pancakes, crepes, authentic French toast, or omelettes, whatever you desire.
Picnic lunches can also be requested, if you want to go for a bike ride or go to the Arboretum. Dinners can also be requested for an affordable fee (depending on what you choose to eat).
Parking: we have a small parking lot out back where you can park off the street. Or we also have plenty of parking on the street--no resident parking where we are, and it's always available.
Convenient Location: we are located between the commuter rail with only one stop to South Station. Or you can walk to Ashmont on the Red Line and be downtown in 20 minutes. If you stay on the Red Line, you can continue to Charles Street for its quaint antiques or Cambridge and Harvard University & MIT.
We're also close to Route 93--Neponset Circle and about 5 miles from Route 95. Because we're a bit outside the city, we're easy to get to from the highway.
If you're coming early, or staying late after a conference at the Convention Center, we're also close--just take the Red Line to the Silver Line and you'll be there in about 30 minutes.
Finally, we're very convenient from the bus depot at South Station or the Airport via the Silver Line. You just have to take the Silver Line to the Red Line and then take the Ashmont Train to the end. Or for a taxi, it's about 30 minutes to our place from Logan and will cost about $35.
We're convenient to some great restaurants in Dorchester, like Ledge, 88 Wharf, the Pit Stop, to name a few. And in terms of historic places, we're close to the JFK Library and the John Quincy Adams estate and Castle Island. We are also close to some South Shore attractions like the Plimoth Plantation and Cape Cod.
We can also offer a customized tour of Boston by car if you like (One of us is a travel writer so can give you much information about Boston) And we can provide taxi service to the airport or bus station if needed.
