Description
Clean and tidy 1-bedroom apartment on East 71st Street (near the corner of second avenue) in New York City. Great location on the Upper East Side and in walking distance from museums, shopping and Central Park. Safe neighborhood with several 24-hour pharmacies and restaurants. It is on the 2nd floor with a full-size bed, and a kitchen/living room with a convertible couch that folds down to sleep 2. The kitchen has a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, TV, and small table with 2 chairs. There is a full bath with tub. There is free WiFi access and an iMac with Adobe CS5 and Microsoft Office and small inkjet printer / scanner you can use. The apartment sleeps 4 comfortably.
The 6 Train is a short walk away and the M15 Select Bus Service (basically an express bus downtown) is only two blocks away.
Our apartment is the quintessential NYC apartment in a quaint building. You aren't staying in an apartment that someone just put a bed and TV in, but my actual apartment that I live in. The majority of the artwork up in the apartment is Patrick's work.
The Upper East Side is a great part of Manhattan, close to most major art museums (Met, MOMA, Guggenheim etc...), great restaurants, shopping, and a 10-minute walk to Central Park. It's nearby to midtown and just a quick subway ride to the East Village bars and restaurants. We'd be happy to recommend specific restaurants near the apartment.
The guide we include (we can also email it once you book if you'd like to get an idea of the neighborhood earlier) covers all the best places we like, everything from pharmacies to supermarkets to bike rentals (the bike rental is only two blocks away).
