Double bedroom in an authentic guest house***(5)

First: If you come to Istanbul to sleep, you are wrong here! ;)) I have spent my time in two rooms. The first room, it was so loud I could not sleep. On the “Galata Tower Place” was/ is party every night! ;D That i must tell you, if you want to book here. The apartment has a very cozy atmosphere. You can always go to the great roof terrace. My favorite place!! The second room, in another apartment was ok, not so loud.... But there are wonderful views from everywhere! The building is very old and everything is kind of very adventurous.^^ I really like that! Those looking for a room, with hotel-claim (four stars, blah) is wrong here!! Galata Roadhouse is pure, genuine, not sugarcoated, unaffected, authentic, very interesting, great ....! I shall return! ;)

Nice contact person and nice city. Unfortunately the apartment wasn't the same that we have booked. We stayed in the same part of the city (beautiful) but we had to sleep on a coach, the gas doesn't worked (no warm water, we couldn't use the kitchen) and it was really noisy. However, Istanbul is an awesome place!

Chambre parfaite, pour une personne seule, vue magnifique sur le Bosphore, immeuble très bien situé à deux pas de la Tour de Galata. Je n'hésiterai pas à recontacter Galata Road House pour un futur séjour à Istanbul.

Die Wohnung ist sehr zentral gelegen. Das Interior war zwegsmässig und gut ausgestattet. Leider war nicht alles perfekt. Die Sauberkeit in der Wohnung war sehr schlecht. Das Bad wurde möglicherweise vor Monaten zum letztes Mal gereinigt. Die Dachterrase ist absolut das beste. Man hat ein Blick über die schönsten Plätze in Istanbul. Fazit.: Ja! Wohnung ist günstig , aber sehr schmutzig. Es gab Kakerlaken und das hat uns gestört. Für ein, zwei tagen gut erträglich, aber ich würde nicht länger in dieser Wohnung bleiben wollen. Es war meiner Meinung nach, auch keine gesetzlich angemelgete Guesthouse. Keine Notausgänge gekennzeichnet, keine Feuerlöscher gesehen. Eher eine Schwarzmarktgeschäft.

Because the rooms in this house were full Tamuna gave us a room in the opposite building. Advantage was the wonderful terrace with a fantastic view over the Bosporus. Our room had a nice view and the bed was good. For the rest we had the same experience as Eddy. A lot of small technical problems that could have been solved easily and rooms that could be cleaned better. It was disappointing that Tamuna did not react on our complaints. Conclusion: very nice apartments, super location but it is disappointing that you have to accept the disadvantages of “authentic” rooms ….

Positiv aspects: Very nice apartment with beautiful rustic renovation. Beds were good with clean linen. Terrace with a fantastic view. Very close to all important places. Negativ aspects: Furniture was in bad condition (broken doors of cupboard, the small table in the bigger bedroom had only three of four legs!). The rooms were not very clean (dust in and on furniture and very old/dirty rugs). The Kitchen is very small and was also dirty. Dirty shower and closet. Towel holder and toilet paper holder were damaged. The broken shower head sprayed water out of all possible holes and its bracket was also damaged. One incident was very disturbing for us. That was when a renter of another apartment came at night and opened our apartment door with his keys and asked us if we have the keys to the roof terrace. Summary: All-in-all it was a nice stay. But for this rental, in my opinion it should be possible to eliminate most of the defects.

Tamuna est une logeuse à qui vous pouvez faire entièrement confiance. L'accueil à la tour Galata est très simple. L'appartement est idéalement situé, prés du Bosphore, des rues commerçantes, du tram, du métro etc. La terrasse est magnifique! La chambre était très propre . J'ai beaucoup aimé être l’hôte de Tamuna. Trust and enjoy it!

Hi, the room I booked was not available so I got a bigger doublebed room with a great view on the Galata Tower. Nice host Tamuna (Thanks again ! ), great shower and fast internet. What more could a weary traveller want ?

Mooi gerestaureerd appartement op goede locatie. Prima adres voor grotere groep.Keuken is klein, ruimte voor max 3 personen. Weinig serviesgoed. Schoon, goede bedden. Eenvoudige douche.Foto's geven realistisch beeld. Prachtig uitzicht over de Bosporus en zicht op de oude stad. Hal/trappenhuis is zeer nodig aan een opknapbeurt toe. Vriendelijke hulpvaardige ontvangst.

I liked my room a lot. The apartment offers some cooking facilities and a washing machine and WiFi. Shower and toilet are shared with three other rooms within the apartment and are kept exceptionally clean. Depending on the occupants of the other rooms it can probably get a bit noisy but didn't during my stay. The Apartment is situated in an old building with lots of atmosphere and a sitting area on the roof top which offers an unbelievable view of the Bosporus. Liked it very much. Tamuna was an accommodating and helpful hostess and very friendly. Highly recommended.
