Eating space for two people. Fully equipped kitchen with electric stove, refridgerator, dishes and kitchenware from wine glasses to frying pans, cutlery, coffee machine, toaster: everything you need for a quick breakfast or a luxurious dinner.

The apartment is situated in Prenzlauer Berg, a central area close to Alexanderplatz and Unter den Linden, Berlin`s famous cultural mile and elegant promenade. You will live in city-east in an ideal situation behind the interesting central areas of Museumsinsel, Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate and all the other places of interests and sightseeings.

There are numerous shopping opportunities nearby, as well as trendy areas and a lively cultural- and night-life directly on your doorstep. A large and beautiful place (Helmholtzplatz) is also nearby, reputed to be one of the most interesting areas in Berlin.
You will meet the typical mixture of antiques shops, countless cafés and a multitude of restaurants, art shops, galeries, antiquarian bookstores and small businesses. The many small and medium shops in the area offer a diverse shopping experience.
In Berlin you will find a very extensive public transport network. Many sights are directly and rapidly accessible. Because of the central location most guests leave their car parked, or do not even bring it at all. The apartment is situated directly at the underground station Schoenhauser Allee in the east of the city, near Alexanderplatz, Unter den Linden, Museum Island, Brandburg Gate and much more. Underground lines, (night-) buses, and a taxi stand are practically are nearby.
Since 1st January 2008 Berlin's inner city is an 'environmental zone' where only cars that are up to emission standards are allowed. You need a sticker with information about the emission standard of your car.
How to get to the flat:
The nearest motorway exit is situated few kilometers away - north of the flat - and will take you only a couple of minutes by car.
From Tegel Airport: take bus no. TXL to the station Beusselstrasse, change into the S-Bahn (urban railway) no. 41 or another line to the station Schönhauser Allee (23 min. journey time).
From Schönefeld Airport: take the S-Bahn in a direct way to the station Schönhauser Allee (38 min. journey time)
From Hauptbahnhof (the central train station) you travel with the urban railway line S7 (or another line in the same direction) to the station Alexanderplatz, change into the underground U2 direction Pankow to the station Schoenhauser Alle (27 min. journey time).

The city district of Prenzlauer Berg was once known for its working class people and talented artisans. In 1920, Prenzlauer Berg officially became part of the city of Berlin and it was called Prenzlauer Tor. The added borough contributed roughly three hundred thousand German citizens to Berlin’s population. A year later, the Prenzlauer Berg was born, and it has been a traveler’s destination ever since.
Prenzlauer Berg has an area of eleven square kilometers, and a thriving population of 160,000 inhabitants. With the tall buildings stabbing into the summer sky, the panoramic view of Berlin in the summer leaves many wondering why there are not more people. In your apartment it's nice to have a street (Stargarder Strasse) that can be walked down without pushing and shoving.
When strolling through the Prenzlauer Berg you will see fantastic images of both new and old, through art and commerce. The French Quarter area of Prenzlauer Berg on Oderberger Strabe, was developed after the German French war of 1871, and is situated between Schönhauser Alee and Prenzlauer Alee. The beautiful streets can be easily recognized, as they have been named for places in France such as Metz, Mulhausen and Kolmar.
World War II saw extensive bombing in the city of Berlin. with many of the buildings destroyed, a rebuilding effort began in 1945. Through hard work and a determined national pride, the Germans, most specifically the Berliners, worked insatiably until the town was rebuilt.
For you it's nothing more exciting and enriching than visiting a section of a city with so much history. Although the history was very traumatic with the bombings from the allies at the end of World War II, it is nonetheless history, and it's great to learn about Berlin and the effects of the war on this great city.
The entire area is alive with history, as every street that you turn down offers another insight into the spirit of European togetherness as there are Prussians, French, Danish and Norwegian street names all throughout Prenzlauer Berg. This makes Prenzlauer Berg one of the most interesting and vibrant places for a traveler of any in Berlin.

We spent 7 nights in the apartment. The location is superb (not in the center, but nice and quiet neighborhood). Gabi was so kind and gave us the keys, even when we got there a bit late. Supermarket, U and S stations and bus, literally 1 min walking. The apartment is spacious for 2 people, clean, and with all the amenities you can need, including extra towels and sheets. The kitchen is big enough to eat in there, and very clean. Bathroom small but enough to feel confortable. The only bad thing I would say about the apartment is that the mattress is old and not so confortable (but we survived). No problems with the wifi and hot water. I would repeat without doubt...but more happily if they change the mattress.....XD

The apartment is right on Nollendorfplatz, overlooking the uBahn station. It was clean, tidy and well laid out. The sofa-bed in the living room was lacking covers. The kitchen was very well equipped despite its small size. It was particularly nice to find that tea bags and milk had been provided. The kitchen window was badly cracked.
The bathroom/toilet is also small and somewhat cramped. It was clean and tidy. The bedroom was sparsely furnished but entirely adequate. The bed was comfortable.
The living room was a bit to warm at times: despite it being Summer and pretty warm the radiators were warm in the evenings so the windows and doors had to be opened to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. The bedroom was much cooler.
The location is great. The area is lively and relaxed at the same time. Maaßenstraße is lined with bars and restaurants. Winterfeldplatz has a regular market with good fresh produce. There is a good, well stocked supermarket right below the apartment. One can be in the heart of the tourist areas in minutes.
As the apartment is on a busy street expect some noise at night: it was not a problem at any point. Just sitting on the balcony looking over the city was a nice relaxing to spend some time.
I would certainly book this place again were it available.

the apartment is very good and the location too , is well connected and there are supermarkets nearby. the only problem was trying to let us know the owner of the apartment , we did not answer the phone in the 5 days we were .
