The house is arranged over four floors and sleeps up to seven people. On the lower ground floor is the kitchen and dining area. The living room and Satelite TV & DVD entertertainment and one of the two bathrooms are on the ground floor. The Master bedroom and second bathroom are on the first floor, followed by a cosy second bedroom with three single beds in the attic on the second floor.
From the kitchen, there is access to a good sized terrace looking out towards the lake. A great spot for 'al fresco' dining on a warm summers evening with the breathtaking scenery of Lake Como all around you.
The house is located in the hillside village of Gallio, surrounded by traditional, rustic Italian houses and stunning scenery. This authentic, mountain village is one of the most beautiful on Lake Como and will undoubtedly leave you with unforgettable memories. Due to its hillside location, its worth mentioning that from the main road, you will need to walk through stone steps, 100 meters from the house. The location is very peaceful and is an ideal place for a very relaxed holiday.
We would like to point out that the two well kept bathrooms are accessed on the lounge terrace and off the shared bedroom terrace.
Lake Como offers hidden treasures just waiting for the visitor to discover: charming corners forgotten by time, lakeside villages where nothing seems to have changed for centuries. It is steeped in history with an immense collection of churches, architectural masterpieces and works of art covering the centuries. The lake is situated in a basin surrounded by wooded mountains, and offers an extremely varied landscape, with its' shores featuring a succession of pastures, and woods as well as harsh and impressive rock formations. All this alongside elegant, lakeside villas with sub-tropical gardens, which provide a haven of peace and tranquillity and chic resorts such as Bellagio, Menaggio and Como itself.
A visiter to Rezzonico said "During our seven day visit to Lake Como we explored more than a dozen towns and climbed a hundred cobble stone walkways. But without question a secluded lane in Rezzonico stands out as the quintessential Lago di Como path. Entirely residential except for the Ristorante Lauro located about a third of the way down, the stone work of the walls and the patina of the cobbles exhibited the kind of character that only time can create and the love of people who live there can maintain."
Rezzonico is one of the most charming villages on Lake Como. A castle right on the water side dominates the village, it has secluded beaches which you can only reach by foot or by boat, and a long bay covered with gravel grass. The lake is clear and clean good for swimming, sailing, surfing, etc. Rezzonico has a few restaurants, a small supermarket, bank & pharmacy. For more shopping, Menaggio is 5 km away and has a lovely lakeside promenade, charming central piazza edged with cosy cafe's. From the ferry dock, you can catch the passenger boat which cris crosses the lake.
By booking this holiday home you will get free acces to the lido di Menaggio. The Lido di Menaggio has swimming pools, a restaurant, a bar/discotheque, a kids club, boat rentals, a sandy beach, kite surfing and various sportive activities to do.

We had a nice view of the lake Lugano from the appartment. I liked that.
About location: although there exists a nice view of the lake, but this appartment is very close to railway. Every hour at least two trains are passed (even during the night). It is really annoying even when we closed the windows especially at nights.
About check in: Since I arrived Lugano by train, it was difficult for me and my old parents to checked in. Because I had to take the keys from Happy Holiday office in
the center of city and then I had to go to Luano paradiso.
About the host: When I arrived, I did not have any idea who is our host or responsible for the appartment and what is his/her name. When I knew him, he was not reachble by phone. Therefore, I mostly contated him by E-mail.
About equipments: There were no electrical kettle (boiler) to make coffee or tee, no toster and no wash machine. For driniking tee or coffee I boiled water with pot!
Unfortunately, for the first and second day I did not have Wifi connection. In the second night of our saty, finally, our host provided us a hotspot! (we satyed in this appartment for only 3 days).
For check out: the host helped me a lot. He allowed me to leave the keys in the house. For this reason it was easy.
Behind Daniel is again a recruitment firm. We had a week before the trip learned that the reserved apartment is not ready and we should select a different apartment from their shelves. Wier have selected and when we were already on the way to the apartment, we were called by diesser company that also this is occupied by the owner and we should choose another apartment. (One hour before arrival!), This apartment has been satisfactory but totally off the beaten path. We were traveling by train and the owner had to pick us up and it was not in Switzerland but in Italy. Our planned trips fell thus into the water. Even we did not know whether the price of the flat line with our actually paid.
Hinter Daniel ist auch wieder eine Vermittlungsfirma. Wir mussten eine Woche vor der Reise erfahren, dass die reservierte Wohnung nicht bereit sei und wir eine andere Wohnung aus ihrem Sortiment auswählen sollten. Wier haben eine ausgewählt und als wir schon zur Wohnung unterwegs waren, wurden wir von diesser Firma angerufen, dass auch diese vom Besitzer besetzt ist und wir eine andere Wohnung auswählen sollten. ( Eine Stunde vor der Ankunft! ) diese Wohnung war zwar zufriedenstellend aber völlig weg vom Schuss. Wir waren mit dem Zug unterwegs und der Besitzer musste uns abholen und es war nicht mehr in der Schweiz sondern in Italien. Unsere geplanten Ausflüge fielen somit ins Wasser. Auch haben wir nicht erfahren, ob der Preis dieser Wohnung unserem tatsächlich bezahlten entspricht.
