Welcome to Rotterdam
Rotterdam is a large and historic city in southern Holland, within an area known as the Rhine–Meuse–Scheldt river delta. The city dates back to 1270, and takes its name from the dam created on the Rotte River for the safety of the nearby dwellers.
Rotterdam has what is referred to as a temperate oceanic climate, with moderate temperatures in the mid-20s during summer and average winter lows above freezing. The city experiences rainfall in around one in three days throughout the year.
