Holiday apartments in Dingle, the most beautiful town in Ireland

Daingean Uí Chúis is the Irish name of the town of Dingle, which lies on the peninsula of the same name in the west of the Republic of Ireland. In times past, it was a rich trading town. Today, Dingle is known for keeping its old customs and traditions alive. The rocky coast with its jagged cliffs invites you to go hiking.

You'll find holiday homes in the typical Irish houses with their bright colours, and your holiday home can offer you both, city proximity and sea views. In addition to the breathtaking natural scenery, you can experience old craftsmanship in and around Dingle or enjoy the proverbial Irish hospitality in a pub. Sometimes you can do both at the same time.

  • Going out in Dingle

As everywhere in Ireland, the pub culture also plays a big role in Dingle. A pub is much more than just a pub. Here, you can drink but also eat a snack and enjoy live music, which is played in almost all pubs. A pub is accessible from every holiday apartment. If you want to experience the Irish soul, the pub is the right place for you.

Thanks to its location directly on the Atlantic Ocean, there is a variety of excellent fish restaurants in Dingle, which prepare the fresh catch of the day of the fishermen sometimes traditional, sometimes modern. Dick Mack's, a mixture of restaurant, pub and cobbler's workshop, is particularly well known.

  • Nature and tradition in Dingle: These are the 5 must-sees

    City Centre

The town centre of Dingle can be reached quickly from the holiday apartment. Strolling through the small streets, past colourful house fronts and Gaelic signs, you will experience the old Ireland.

    Gallarus Oratory

About 10 kilometres from town lies the Gallarus Oratory chapel, which looks like an upturned boat. It has defied wind and weather for about 1,200 years.

    Connor Pass

At an altitude of 456 metres, this pass on the Dingle Peninsula is considered the second highest in the country. The top of the pass offers fantastic panoramic views of the region.

    Blasket Islands

A holiday apartment or cottage in Dingle is an ideal base for a trip to the Blasket Islands. You can reach the uninhabited group of islands by fishing boat only. On the largest island are the remains of an ancient settlement.

In 1983, a dolphin suddenly appeared off Dingle and stayed. Since then, "Fungie" is probably Dingle's best-known resident, and trips to see Fungie are a must on any visitor's itinerary.
